Thanks to Revolution Manufacturing, the big front wheel craze expands to Victory motorcycles. Their new Big 23″ Wheel Kit for Victory Cross Country, Hard Ball, and Crossroads models includes: the forged aluminum 23″ wheel in gloss black finish to look close to stock (complete with hubs and bearings), 6 degree triple trees with all bolts and bearings, a front fiberglass fender for a total price of $2,550 US, with each component also available separately.
CEO Michael Kamalian says ” We kept the design close to the original stock look and designed a new hub specifically for the Victory that incorporates the new ABS system with no interference. There are no clearance issues at the fairing to fender points, an issue encountered with some big wheel installs.” Revolution Manufacturing already offers a line of Victory accessories including floorboards, foot pegs, shift and brake pegs for all models up to 2012. Dealers/Distributors wanted.
Nice stuff, but hardly new. Other companies put big wheel kits on Cross Countrys almost as soon as the bike came out two years ago.
Don’t know why you would want to mess with the great handling characteristics of the Victory X bikes but to each their own I suppose.
Arlen and Cory Ness have been doing this for two years now. they have been selling 23″ wheels and fenders for the Vic baggers for about that long too. They also have a 6 degree rake kit in their 2012 catalog, that has been out since January.
Guess that Cyril can’t check how truthful some vendors’ statements and claims are.
Thundercycles owned by Eddie Trotta has Victory of South Florida now and he is doing it as well…
The only thing that looks dumber on a bagger than a 21″ front wheel? A 23″ front wheel!
Anything bigger than a 16 on the back looks dumb, too? If you want a cruiser, get a cruiser.
LOOKS GREAT! But… what about the turning, is it like the old school chopper’s where it takes a 40 acre field and arcs up while turning?
Victory needs to come back out with a new Touring Cruiser! 1) 6- Gallon Gas Tank, 2) 6-Speed transmission 3) A matching Top Box for the saddlebags, 4) Baloony tires (no skinny front wheel) 5) Inverted forks 6) A windshield like the old one but with a stereo/ speaker cabinet accessory like the old Windjammer system. 7) and the 106 engine (or bigger) 8) and a better seat! ( one you can go over 100 miles and not have your behind fall off) 9) and a convertable single seat like the old pogo seat which will give a lot of comfort on long rides.
I don’t want much but a comfortable Touring Cruiser not a spaceship that costs close to 30 Grand.
I’ve always liked the old school look but the high technology for reliability sake.
Now that Victory owns Indian Motorcycles I would like to see the in line 4 cylinder beefed up to 3000 CC and Blow the competition away!
I am Just Saying!
Ride Safe!
I think Matt at Kewl Metal been doing this for victory for awhile also
Rake Kit,, 23 inch wheel(s) handlebars and other stuff
there is stuff for the Cross Country/Roads/ Hard Ball out there
just need for it to keep coming out there & for builders to use it
