In my opinion, there is no competition. Anyone who has a clue knows Jesse is far and above a better craftsman, and has far and above better vision of what a bike should look like, and how it should be built than either of the other two involved in this…..

I watched the full interview and have to agree with 100% of what Jesse said! His Bikes are built to be ridden! Ive seen many OCC bikes at trade shows over the years and they look much better on TV than in person. Just a non functional motorcycle and those boys like double faced tape! If you have followed Jesse over the years? You know his skills and you know hands down he is the only one that could do the whole bike from scratch.

We do need Discovery back like it was years ago. They had many great builders showcased on there! Not this Drama BS on American Chopper! Build shit for the rider and not the Corporations. We know that’s all that’s keeping them afloat in this economy but It’s Just soap opera BS. I stopped watching this shit years ago but seeing this Build off with Jesse on this Blog. I will watch for sure But not for the father and son ass hats…Does Jr even ride bikes besides after a build or for TV?

    Bring back Jesse Discover!

I like Jesse’s bikes and he is a true builder, but he’s still an arrogant douche. Seriously, can he be any more conceded?

  4. 4 Kustoms and Choppers Magazine Nov 23rd, 2011 at 10:44 am

Jesse is a true builder and his bikes are good but I would prefer to see a Biker Build off of Jesse James vs Cole Foster or Jesse vs Hank Young. Screw OCC they suck.

  5. 5 BadMonkeyMW Nov 23rd, 2011 at 11:03 am

    It’s “conceited” bud.

It’ll be funny to watch either way, great line though: “OCC is like pro-wrestling, I feel dumber after watching it.” Classic.

Appreciating works of art is subjective. Who is a better painter, Van Gogh or Picasso?
It depends on who you ask.

Competition is better suited to race events where the winner is defined as the person who crossed the finish line first.

  7. 7 Toby Nov 23rd, 2011 at 11:07 am

Not a bad interview. He certainly comes off as more sincere than in recent years. I agree that Discovery needs to get back to the basics. They need to show real builders AND the details of how they do what they do without the drama. The James vs Teutul build off is a sham though. Reminds me of when Mohamed Ali fought that Japanese wrestler. Gotta love the automatic weapons and extended magazines. Must be Texas.

Jesse is a real artist , bikes or cars he knows what is cool !! very talented , and verstal with metals of all kinds. and truley loves building bikes . you can see it in his work .real bikes . can’t wait to see all the different types of metal smithing he uses on this one . i bet, those other two have all there parts made by someone else and they just put them together and say they did something, realy all the guys in the shop are the ones doing all the work .

  9. 9 A Hotrodder Nov 23rd, 2011 at 12:03 pm

I think that if the list is just Jesse & the whinnier teutuls than there is only one person that could be considered a craftsman, Jesse is a real craftsman not just a parts orderer & installer!!

I have an idea how a real winner can come out of this competition, the producer can put together a package that includes an eng., trans., tires & wheels, small parts(including chain & other stuff) and a bunch of steel. The builder can have 1 helper( not a bike builder/fabricator) and the builder must create & build the entire bike with the helper providing only an extra pair of hands. I’m not sure about paint, maybe the producer can pick a top painter to paint all bikes. I would think a competition like that would prove who is the real bike builder. Also, when the bikes are completed the builder must ride his bike at least a thousand miles to the final show.

That’s my idea for a real bike builder competition, sorry if it seems so one sided, well not really! 😉

For 40 years now , I’ve been building bikes , re-building engines , designing and fabricating parts , and learning differnt techniques and methods of manipulating raw materials .
I am also familiar with Blacksmithing methods and the use of a forge , I am a knife maker , a welder , a machinist ,and an accomplished woodworker. I apply all my skills and knowledge in every build I do.
I would have to agree that to be able to truely be considered as the “Best Builder In The World ‘ , the whole bike from concept to reality should be the brainchild of the builder and be fabricated by the builder in every aspect .
Custom motorcycles should ultimately have SOUL . That is to say that when the bike is finished and your standing beside it or in front of it looking at it , it should emit back to you it’s individual character and have the feeling that it’s Alive …..An extension of the builders character , his passion , his commitment to excellence , his devotion to his skills and craftsmanship.
Haveing said that , that is precisely why I especially like looking at bikes built by regular everyday guys , who because of their desire to use their hands to build a dream they tackle all the obstacles in front of them , useing the tools and equipent the have available to them to accomplish the challenges faceing them.
My belief is that the more of yourself you put into a build , and the more you use your hands and your brains and the skills you’ve learned and developed along the way , the more “SOUL ‘ the bike will have in the end of it all .
I know , alot of folks will slam me for being an old stick in the mud , afraid of technology , not so . I applaude innovation and the advancement of mechanical fabrication . But Billit parts , made with cumputerized C.N.C machinery , Reproduction parts from foreign counntrys , Crate Engines , and bolt on parts , do not constitute in my opinion real craftsmanship when it comes to constructing a bike that is supposed to be an extension of the builder or its owner .
in all my time in the industry I can honestly say that the bikes that make the lil hairs on the back of my neck stand out are the ones that guys build with limited resources , on limited budgets . Those are the bikes that have real SOUL !
Who will be the winner ? Who knows ? Does it really matter ? Will the competition be a fair assesment of each guy as an individual artist , designer and fabricator? Will he truely be the best in the world ?
To be the best is a lifelong quest in my opinion . I’ve devoted my life to becomeing better at everything I do by reading , studying , and trying different techniques that involve the use of my hands useing the tools and equipment that are available to me .
Good luck boys …What your doing is good for exposure to our industry . but remember ….
How was this industry we call the Custom Bike Industry started ? Who we’re the Grandfathers of the culture ? How did they build bikes back in the day ?
I have a whole stack of paper that states I’m an accomplished tradesman at this thing or that , in the end , i’ts just that paper. What counts in my opinion is what stands before you in the end . Does it speak back to you ? Does it have character and Soul ?Can you honestly say to yourself ” I DID THAT ALL BY MYSELF ” ? Did you learn anything during the course of the project ? Are there things you’ld do different if you were to build the same bike again ?
True craftsmen are their own worst critics……and they push themselves constantly to be better .
The concept of a show of this type is I will admit Intrigueing , I will likely watch to see what styles will be presented and to posibly pick up on a few techniques , but that will be the extent of my reasons for watching .
Do I care who wins ? Not in the least. Because in my opinion the winners won’t be judged on their Raw Talent and hands on techniques as a fabricator , Popular opinion will rule the day .
THE BEST BUILDER IN THE WORLD IS STILL OUT THERE ………

  11. 11 debbyracer45 Nov 23rd, 2011 at 12:41 pm

No Doubt Jesse is the builder, it was kinda stupid to put him together with the wanna be a builder guys….they suck. What about Ron Simms…that would have been a way better and more equal show down of two builders. Regardless it’s good to see Jesse is ready to get back to were he came from.

  12. 12 DJ Nov 23rd, 2011 at 12:42 pm

This is the double edged sword I have been struggling with for years. On one hand, the commercialization that Discovery has created on our industry has brought things like Motorcycle check points and EPA interference along with every other evil associated with the rubs and yuppies that were spawned. On the other hand, business picks up with the popularity spikes… The question is, do I want to drive a Fierro or a Ferrari. I think I am ok with the Fierro, but the wife is a little higher maintenance… It is hard to look at a customer in the face when he comes in knowing he is just another Jones. I can honestly say 95% of my business is the looser I have spent so many years despising. I welcome Jesse back and am already planning my shop addition which will include a full time barista with all the Latte and cappachino’s you could ever dream of along with a new line of T- Shirts, custom GPS and Ipad mounts. Just in time for Christmas!

  13. 13 hoyt Nov 23rd, 2011 at 2:14 pm

If the Discovery Channel would push itself within its own industry & realm of creativity there would be no room for OCC & skin-deep pop culture.

It is painful to watch since the motorcycle content is a distant 2nd.

  14. 14 A Hotrodder Nov 23rd, 2011 at 2:46 pm

I must admit that my first comment was made before I watched the video’s, but I wouldn’t change any of my first comment.
I would add that Jesse seemed to sound like he was excited to be back building a bike on TV again and going against the likes of the teutuls was just icing on the cake. I also hope that I heard things correctly when he was talking about working with the Discovery Channel, it seemed to me that he was saying that there would more & real bike building stuff coming from him & Discovery. Did it seem the same to anyone else, I sure hope so.
I have one question about the video’s at pjd, I can’t help but wonder if that couch was reinforced with steel and/or air bags to hold the load of those ever expanding 3???!!

    @ EVILLE TWIN MOTORSICKLE CO
My name is Patrick G. from Belgium. I’m reading this Cyril Huze Blog daily and enjoying it verry much.
I’m only read and dont write in this blog because English is not my native language and it takes a bit of effort for me to write without to many spelling errors.
But after reading your post i had to write the following.
Your comment is the best comment i have ever read in this blog and any other blog or forum i visited. It is the plain truth, honest and inspiring. I will print your comment and hang it in my garage where i’m building my own bike.

Who will win? Jesse or Jr Sr…. If tomorow you’re in your garage building your bike or taking it for a ride and enjoying it, than i think You are the winner.

I wish you and all the readers a lot of building and riding pleasure!

    With kind regards

    Patrick

ps. Have a great thankdgiving day and weekend!

  18. 18 Branden Nov 23rd, 2011 at 9:29 pm

Its nice to hear from real motorcycle enthusiasts. If you read the dicovery blog every one is saying jr this jr that. Jesse should win hands down, no question. Hes better in every aspect. No contest. Then you have to think realisticlly. Its a popularity contest and given all the shit the media blood suckers have said about Jesse, odds are jr is gonna win. He shouldnt but unfortuanley thats the world of tv. Real bikers know quality and real work. Let the TV bikers sit at home and vote. Ill be ridin.

  19. 19 Peter Nov 23rd, 2011 at 11:17 pm

I get a kick out of all the opinions about the contestants and have to put my 2 cents in. I have to say I was out of the motorcycle biz for 20 some years and only was inspired by American Chopper which was where I was at at the time when it first came out. I was not an Arlen Ness experienced builder when i decided to come out of retirement to try my 4th and fifth build of my life at 45 years of age. I relate to Jesse and I relate to Paul Jr. and Sr. as I see aspects that I can relate to. You have to say that they are highly skilled, if you look at the skill level out there. My god I see guys on you tube setting up a tranny and engine and once they bolt it down they cant get the inner primary off cause of the misalignment. Thats whats out there so hey guess what? Its not all about the lifetime builders that have been doing it in California forever. Get over it. Gm hired Jr and Sr to design a bike, and I think they did quite well. Its a different genre. We are all individuals and I have respect for what they have done. If it wasnt for them I probably would not be a customer of the other builders websites that are so highly touted as being “better than” including Jesse’s.

  20. 20 sollis Nov 23rd, 2011 at 11:52 pm

Gosh this people in this industrie getting worse and worse where all cool people go not a shit slammers

  21. 21 modenawest Nov 23rd, 2011 at 11:59 pm

At least it sounds like Jesse has a vision and passion in his life again for something he wants to do — not expected to do or is being forced to do to appease some producer or network contract.

I still think Jesse needs to further his legacy by going back to the MetalChurch video’s he was doing. Showcase the skills he has learned from others and then showcasing it in his unique way that a teenage kid could be inspired by doing himself ala career or profession or for fun.

    Somebody needs cash now…………………………

  23. 23 Wiz Nov 24th, 2011 at 3:06 am

Well, ya know I had to git in on this one…. Arrogant? Concieted? In the immortal words of Kid Rock “IT AIN’T BRAGGIN’ MUTHER-F*CKER IF YA BACK IT UP!!!!” Jesse’s got the fabrication talent ‘an wisdom of old school creation! Taking hunks of raw steel ‘an aluminum and making something with SOUL that pulls you down the road. Not to appease some shallow, corporate YUPPIE-DICKHEAD who doesn’t have a CLUE as to what REBELLION is all about. That’s what this whole biker thing is ALL about! REMEMBER??? It’s about showing society that we don’t give a RAT’S ASS about what’s popular or trendy!! SHOVE yer decorum ‘an etticute up yer PATOOT!! FREEDOM BABY!!! Hey Jess, I got a butt-load [1,000’s of rounds] of Wolf brand 7.62 x 39 myself for my 1954 Russian tank-grew SKS [blade bayonet] with a bunch of 30-round magazines ‘an 10 round stripper clips! Lock ‘an Load ‘an Let ‘er RIP!!! Wiz

  24. 24 DJ Nov 24th, 2011 at 4:32 am

Anyone who’s vocabulary includes the words “Motorcycle Enthusiast” don’t know sh1t about being a biker, If you have ever even uttered those words, stop what you are doing and go buy a corvette or a boat.. Or what ever else yuppie machine you can finance with your platinum credit card. Maybe “Basket weaver enthusiast” is more your style

  25. 25 mcctan24 Nov 24th, 2011 at 9:22 am

dj, there is nothing wrong with being a motorcycle enthusiast. Im a enthusiast, i love motorcycles and don’t have to ride across country, be miserable, and look like shi t to be a “biker” and have fun. so why don’t you take your broke, 2000 fat boy riding ass to the bank and beg for another loan.

  26. 26 Wiskers Nov 24th, 2011 at 9:25 am

As a small shop owner, and builder. I have to say that if you can’t ride the bike that you build then is just a waste of time. I have to also say that mainstream America fell in love with these crazy show pieces. Which in turn gave all the bike shops around a huge pay check. I opened my shop 5 years ago after the fantasy wore off, and people came back to reality. I have prided myself on building bikes that real people can afford and could ride all day long. Jesse has the better bikes on that stand. I am not a fan of any one of them. The arrogance of all 3 is overwhelming, we are all just people. We all eat, sleep, and bleed. I would rather see small shop builders on a show, using what god gave them. So Discovery channel should take that and find a some small shops that have real drive and passion to make cool affordable bikes, that people can ride.

  27. 27 Doug. Sick boy Nov 24th, 2011 at 9:31 am

Nobody ever disputed jesssie’s talent, but it will be voted on by regular people , not nessesarlly by people who ride.

  28. 28 J Nov 24th, 2011 at 10:02 am

    For all the lip, I don’t see much difference in what Jesse does vs Jr anymore- does Jesse build his own engines now? Paint his bikes himself? They both fabricate a certain percentage of their bikes, and both outsource and “arts and craft” the rest;

Jesse talks butch, but the reality is, he’s not doing anything more than Jr is- ‘cept Jesse isn’t scoring sweet corporate gigs anymore……..

  29. 29 DJ Nov 24th, 2011 at 10:08 am

Jesse calls himself a motorcycle enthusiast so Jesse doesnt know shit about shitt about being a biker ???? By the way I have no platnium cards but I have 3 bikes and a big bag of go fuck yourself

  32. 32 DJ Nov 24th, 2011 at 11:28 am

  33. 33 Branden Nov 24th, 2011 at 11:41 am

Just sayin man dont talk shit I just was trying not to use the word biker like everyone else does. Because alot of people arent bikers but like motorcycles.

  34. 34 The Supreme Team Nov 24th, 2011 at 12:06 pm

Let the douchebaggery begin….you last 3 kids are worse than watching Jr. and Sr.

    WIZ…best post on here!

Enjoy the ride kids…you missed the point of this particular show. You all could give two shits for the Teutels, but you’ve all been flipping back and forth on this blog for a month now about it. They’ve got your attention, and a hell of a lot of people are going to be watching. Mission accomplished.

You last few sound like a bunch of teenage girls going back and forth about Twilight movies….so which is it guys…Team Edward or Team Jacob? (as my 13 year old daughter is cracking up watching me type this)

I am looking forward to the show, figuring on seeing some bitchin’ ideas and distinctive differences and who knows…maybe it’ll give the industry a little nudge again.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. God Bless the USA!

  35. 35 Branden Nov 24th, 2011 at 12:12 pm

Team Edward. I was trying to do a real post but u see what happened after

We will get the truth, it’s out there and the world want to know.
What is unfair is that this event should be a worldwide consideration, not only
for this guys, open the big door to the whole world..

  37. 37 Olive Oil Nov 24th, 2011 at 5:03 pm

I think that cute lady interviewer needs to learn another word other than “right”. Interviewer skills definately lacking there. Jesse will win hands down, not that it matters.

  38. 38 Brendon Nov 24th, 2011 at 7:10 pm

Jesse goes down in this comp if Jesse does everything himself and he’s so great why did he have cole foster helping with the project and he’s the best welder and fab guy give me a break he is good but not the best.i just think he’s way over rated these days !!

  39. 39 Dave Purves Nov 24th, 2011 at 8:56 pm

  41. 41 Brendon Nov 24th, 2011 at 9:51 pm

It’s cool man just saying Jesse is over rated and Pjd is putting out some nice bikes these days!!!

  42. 42 Grey Beard Nov 24th, 2011 at 10:36 pm

Everyones concerned about Jr and jesse. Sr’s gonna pull it off. He ain’t out there telling everybody how good he is and trash talking the others down to try and prove he’s good.
Sr’s been around the block before OCC. Through out his fame and fortune, Sr. never forgot where he came from. He’s catapulted his hometown, close friends, local businesses and craftsman’s into the forefront.
OCC has built several bikes to honor, respect and honor to all walks of life. They’ve built bikes to commemorate USA history, helped and contributed to organizations like disable vets, help less fortunate children, handicap children centers, memorials to the old chopper legends, firemen, policemen, vets, just to name a few.

If you are good at what you do, you don’t have to brag or tell anyone, others will do it for you.

These guys certainly do not seem to want what I do from motorcycling and motorcycles. But hey, I think they’re pretty good at what they do, and I always enjoy having more motorcycle content on television.

  45. 45 DJ Nov 25th, 2011 at 5:39 am

    @ Boss Hawg…
It is a soul thing… I know who spends the money. Yuppies/Rubs(AKA “enthusiasts”) Pay my bills. Fact is you have never seen an “enthusiast” with a bottom rocker. They might have the gold card, but at the end of the day they are just a guy with a bike and a gold card. When I served in the Navy (in various wars)nobody gave the Navy band any slack.. Were they any less in the Navy-No! Point is, you can have the uniform, that don’t make you shit. Ergo, you can have 3 bikes and all the shiney new leather, brand new boots that only come out on riding day. Not to mention 200 H-D shirts with all the sculls, eagles and faux bad ass prints anyone can dream of and still ain’t shit….
Make that a double Latte, maybe then I can relate

  46. 46 Bull Moose Nov 25th, 2011 at 6:27 am

    @ EVILLE TWIN MOTORSICKLE CO.
Thanks guy. For me thats what its all about. I am one of them little guys that has a one car garage and only builds bikes for myself on a very limited budget. I have never sold a bike that I have built and have no plans to. A part of me goes into my bikes and i dont want to part with them. I could care less who wins this dog and pony show.

  47. 47 Boss Hawg Nov 25th, 2011 at 6:46 am

DJ….it’s all good brother! Double lattes and its on like Donkey Kong. Vietnam Era Vet here and in the BIG Red 1 we took it back and dished out the slack. By the way, my raised grain bull-hide boots are worn almost daily and shine like hell cause I polish em and wear em with pride like they taught me. If most here would just build something on their own, it would all be good here.

Hope all of you here and your loved ones had a wonderful Thanksgiving….now its off to the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona for some real fun with the good ole boys that know how to throw down with some real choice cars.

    C ya,

  48. 48 eddie barrett Nov 25th, 2011 at 12:20 pm

Much respect to all builders however unfortunately it seems like average Joe voter really likes the OCC Drama .. I am amazed how many people talk about OCC. Its like they started their own line of customers to fit their bikes. For years we have had customers talking about how sick their bikes are ????? Honestly I do not understand this phenomenon. Really hope James smokes them and the public gets it… Also it will be fun to listen to everyone copy Jesse James again. For years after his shows people would recite word for word his comments like nobody else watched his shows..It would be great to see other builders build-off however do not think it would be interesting to the general public..

  49. 49 Kirk Perry Nov 25th, 2011 at 1:17 pm

How about building something without that tired-futuristic-ugly-as-butt-hair “Blockhead Motor” that all look the same in the power-train department.
Basically all these builder’s are doing the same thing – building a piece of rolling stock, then pulling a Blockhead motor and transmission out of a box, and pushing them into a frame, connecting the wiring and hitting the starter button. When the motor comes alive, they all smile like it’s some big deal. Har !!
    ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Want to see some real angst and crippled attempts at bike building? Order a V-Twin® knucklehead frame and motor. See how fast you can put one of those together. Yeah…. I thought so…. “We don’t want to waste time setting up a motor”. You ain’t shit. 🙂

  50. 50 courtney Nov 25th, 2011 at 11:33 pm

OCC & PJD are meeting a market demand. In the process they are doing a service for the companies they’re building for as well as providing a living for not only the folks who work for them, but for countless folks down their various supply chains. There is nothing at all to be ashamed of here. It is an honest living where both buyer and supplier work together for mutual benefit. Ain’t no dishonesty anywhere in this process.

As for Jesse James, same thing. ‘Cept his shit don’t stink, lol. We’ll see.

Seems as if JJ wants to Win but yet Lose at the same time, lol. He loves to be Hated, but he thrives to be Loved as well. He wants it both ways: to be both Hated and Loved — all at the same time. Sounds to me as if he’s preparing for the Best AND the Worst: He simply Cannot lose, imagine that!

    What a fucking idiot.

But hey, if JJ builds a nice bike then I’ll vote for him accordingly, on principle. However, I ain’t voting for some Dickhead Bully just because “Motorcycles” are “Supposed” to represent Dickhead Bullies.

    Fuck That.

  51. 51 Heavy Metal Nov 26th, 2011 at 2:46 pm

Jesse is Jesse and you either like him or not. I would rather hear about this over his love life, or lack of. I dislike the Pauls but that’s just me and I don’t count.

  52. 52 dave the rave Nov 26th, 2011 at 3:09 pm

I read all the letters here, some were put together well. All I have to say is its all BullShit!!!
The bottom line is CASH. You have to look at the big picture.People to need to be able to BUY shit and survive. Yeah one guy is going to get a prize,so what. They all will recieve more money, to get them further down the road in this life, and retire with some type of ease and well being. Instead of waking up in a cardboard box someday starving in Venice Beach.. thinking Damn! I shoulda entered that build off, instead of being stubborn. This way, they get to do what they know, get exposure, and laugh all the way to the bank. It really sucks going to the bank with a frown!!

It must suck going to work everyday hating your customers. What I hear here is a lot of resentment for people who can afford to have a custom bike built. I’m a General Contractor, I built my bike. It’s not gonna win any shows, but I think when you fab your own parts bolt them on and ride them 100mph, it takes the experience to another level. I got news for some of you, those people with the gold cards are our bread and butter and the Gold card isnt the shit anymore, hell I have one of those, the black card is the one you really want to see. Courtney, are you married? God I love a woman with common sense. All three builders have their merits, and all three are media whores, just like most people who end up on reality tv. The show that is doin the most harm is on a different network.

    Peace

No law statutory or Natural requires ya to actually “like” your customer.
(didn’t JJ had “pay up sucker” inked into the palm of his hand….???)

The pays their money and takes their chances, just like everyone else.
“Like” has nothing to do with it.

Like where did like Jesse like learn to speak like grammar? Like in the like valley? Jesus, if I hear this guy say ‘like’ one more time, I’m going to puke.

This valley girl makes a Kentucky redneck sound like Einstein.

I would like to tell you all that all three builders are good at what they do. they are doing it to see who is better. lets start with jesse he builds somme nice bikes back then. And yes he built a nice bike for kid rock but that was then. If he is so good why did he go out of the spot light? now for paul jr.paul is a great builder he is a modlern bike builder he likes off the wall bikes. he has a lot of people behind him.next paul sr. has been building bikes most of his life.he builds some nice old school bikes.bye choice . paul sr and jr and jesse are great builders but to jesse quit acting like a baby act like a adult quit sending shitty letters to the other builders.! good luck to everyone. but the best bikes will come from SR or JR!!!!!! HAVE AGOOD TIME AND NO FIGHTING!!!!!!

“…paul sr. has been building bikes most of his life…”

    -NO-
Sr. told us during a TV interview that he was “late” getting into bike building.
Said he built his first bike in 1970.
(about the time the “the nicest people on a Honda” came on the scene and many of us built our last bikes, n-baild out)

paul sr. and paul jr need to make up and get on with life. i would not talk to my father. mikey also needs to start talking to his father. forgive and forget! and combined shops. jesse james is not a likeable person he only cares about himself. every one should work together. who cares about which one is better!!!! they are all good bike builders.

  66. 66 reddog lenny Dec 5th, 2011 at 9:29 pm

I started watching the build off until I realized that my brain was being drained of all of it’s rational thinking. A three tracckwhat? P51 replica and a jesse j tribute to kat von d and s b black haired p&^%%$. whatever no one really gives a s$&t about any of these hasbeens. If I’m wrong you will tell me know about it.

  67. 67 h.roman Dec 5th, 2011 at 10:36 pm

jesse and paul sr just stop your builds now everyone knows paul jr is the best

  68. 68 Sheila Dec 5th, 2011 at 10:37 pm

I think Jesse James is an ignorant old out of date bike builder. He clearly is doing this to try to restart is motorcycle buisness and to gain more fame. I guess his womanizing fame is done and now he wants to try to go back to what he knows which is bikes. I think Jesse builds good bikes, but to categorize all the Teutul’s bikes as the same, shows how ignorant and out of date he is. Paul JR, has way more class than Jesse could ever hope to sleep with. He builds bikes that represent something that is way to modern for Jesse’s old mind to comprehend. So what if he is a “black smith” he was not always doing that. And if I have to say it, then I will, all his stupid bikes look the same. They require a man with extensively long arms to even ride it. Jesse needs to get a clue, and realize nobody cares about him anymore. Paul JR rocks, his designs are always nostalgic and out of this world. He builds things that will always be remembered and wanted. Jesse’s bikes just fade into nothingness compared to Paul Jr’s.

  69. 69 Eddie p Dec 5th, 2011 at 10:47 pm

Jessie has to stop saying that Sandra bullock is to blame for his carear being in the dump. He should be kissing her ass for putting up with his arrogant ass . She should have dumped his ass like discovery channel did five years . No class jerk. Be a freeking man

  70. 70 Cyndi Dec 5th, 2011 at 10:48 pm

No contest…Paul Jr. is the winner…..OCC and WCC bleeps!!!!!

  71. 71 westrportwoody Dec 5th, 2011 at 11:50 pm

I’ve been a fan of OCC ever since the show came on the air however long ago that was.
I never took much notice of Jessie James though I had heard of him. Comparing
the craftmanship and the ridability of the three “motorcycles” the OCC and PJD
bikes are impracticle toys as compared to Jessie’s real usable chopper. Oh as
for my qualifcations, I’m 64 yeares old and I’ve got about 200,000 miles under my ass on more makes of motorcycles than I can remember.

  72. 72 Emil Shahnazarian Dec 6th, 2011 at 1:51 am

Paul Jr. hands down, awesome bike…….is the winner in my books.
Paul Sr., I was expecting a hardcore street rod but instead you built a fire breathing tank on steroids, kind of cool but not for the build off.
Jessie James, you haven’t been around but most of your bikes look alike, a true street Chopper, I like it.

and the winner is Paul Jr. Designs

  73. 73 Choppmsn68 Dec 6th, 2011 at 9:21 am

Watching Jr whine about how discovery didn’t record his voice for the promo was a joke. Watching Vinnie minimize the fabrication aspect of bike building shows he has become nothing more than Jr’s little fanboy following him like a little puppy dog who wants a treat. Jr has to be the biggest cry baby I have ever seen. Then Jr and Vinnie were all upset when the OCC guys blew uo the car. How hypocritical can you get? Those 2 would have been right in there laughing their butts off back when they were at OCC. Jr’s not a bike guy, never has been, never will be. As far as fabrication, PJD does what PJD always does, they had brandon build a tank, they subbed out everything else on the bike, they used that same damn Indian replica motor that they have used on the last 10 bikes they have built ( Must be getting them dirt cheap ) Put those hideously tall wheels on it, and called it custom. That bike looks nearly identical to the Dekalb bike,. It is also a joke that Jr had to bring a plane in for inspiration. Does this guy ever have an original thought? And the smoke coming out of the tank? What is this the bat mobile? AS usual Jr built a bike you couldnt ride to 7-11 and back. And OCC? WTF ? It was supposed to be a BIKE.. Jr and Vinnie have never been fabricators and they still arent. The only real talent in that whole shop is Brandon. He s agood metal guy. Jr and Vinnie have never had the skills to build anything from the ground up, neither can build a tank from scratch, neither can build a frame by themselves. Jr’s claim to fame is 5/8 roundbar to put spidey webs on stuff. All of that said….Jr will probably win in a landslide because most real bike guys dont even watch the show, the majority of the regular viewrs of American Chopper wouldnt know what true craftsmanship was if it hit them in the head. Also, everyone hates Sr, and loves Jr which tells me the age, and type of person who are big fans of the show. Jesse built a bad ass bike, SR built,,IDK what it is, and JR helped assemble a trinket laden statue. There isnt a doubt who BUILT the best bike, but the best bike wont win

  74. 74 Joe Peterson Dec 6th, 2011 at 11:42 am

    Choppmsn68, and others
In the early years at OCC Junior did allot of the fabricating including a few tanks. When OCC became bigger Junior’s role as a fabricator was lessened as others were hired for certain work. Now I will give Jessie props for being the best fabricator of the “big three” lol. However bring in Rick or Brandon and he will have serious competition. That said Jr for all his whining can get things done has hired a good team, is open to suggestion , and has the most creative mind of the bunch. When it comes to ideas and understanding design Jr is generally better ( Look at these three bikes, PJD blows the others away.) Frankly I thought Jessie would man up. He did not. Apparently if you want the same old school bike perhaps you have a point with Jessie but innovative design PJD hands down. By the way the best bike builder title is foolish though Jr and Jessie might give a number of great builders a run for their money.

    Big Joe HOG

  75. 75 Choppmsn68 Dec 6th, 2011 at 11:39 pm

Actually i WAS a bit disappointed in what Jesse brought and I was ROOTING HARD for him to bring down the yuppie bike wannabe Jr.. Even though Jesse built a just a cool old school “frisco chopper, it still had more fab work in it than what Jr brought. ( I wont mention SR as he didnt build a bike ) It really comes down to what each person wants, and sees as the “essence” of a chopper. Jesse certainly delivered on that. I guess if you like a bike that was forged in raw steel by the sweat of ones brow that you can actually RIDE to a bike show, Jesse built the best bike. If you want something shiny, with a bunch of impractical, trinkets hanging on it, then Jr;s bike is for you. Personally I’ll take the guy that didnt come up in Daddys shop and had to build his bikes, ( Jr actually doesnt do much riding and has even stated he doesnt really like the bike world or the lifestyle associated with it ). All of that said, I correctly predicted that under this format Jesse didnt stand a chance regardless of what he built. IF this show had been done the way the biker buildoff series had been done in the past, there isnt to much doubt who wouldve won. JR had a built in advantage,, He is BY FAR more popular amongst the arm chair bikers who are regular viewers of American Chopper. That shows demographics are for the most part made up of 24-30 year old women who love the drama and think Jr is cute, and 24-40 year old men who think because they mortgaged their house to go and buy a harley off the showroom floor, then ride their shiny new bikes 200 miles from june-september, then park their bikes the other nine months. Point is most real bikers who shit eat and breath bikes do not watch the show. The real craftsmen and people in the bike community know the difference

  76. 76 Luke37 Dec 7th, 2011 at 10:05 pm

Jesse is a asshole. Keep drinking Jesse. Jr should knock his ass out.

  77. 77 Luke37 Dec 7th, 2011 at 10:13 pm

Jesse lost and that’s that! I know someone bought a bike from Jesse for 75,000 and it’s a hunk of junk. Can’t ride it 2 miles without something falling off or breaking down. Don’t like how he acted. Keep it to your self if you got nothing good to say. That show made him look bad.

  78. 78 Adam Reker Dec 8th, 2011 at 3:04 pm

You guys that thought Jr’s bike was cool are dipshits. There is not one line on that bike that works. It is so out of proportion. It is so ugly.

  79. 79 dueyftw Dec 8th, 2011 at 3:33 pm

Luke37: I live near OCC and seen their garbage on the road. They once put on a carb with silicon and nothing else. It keep falling off, ha ha ha.

All three suck. A snowmobile, some sort of artwork on two oversize wheels and a hard-tail chopper that you have to look under the handlebars?

Sad to say but my bike would have won, it’s over 20 years since the completion, 3 engines later, I still ride it.

    Duey

  80. 80 Greg Dec 8th, 2011 at 3:59 pm

A Snowmobile, a Bicycle & a hand crafted stainless clad Chopper…………………….and the Bicycle wins, popularity contest i guess

  81. 81 jesse p Dec 8th, 2011 at 6:19 pm

bike build off they should do a bike build off where they ride the bikes a 1000 miles then have them judged like in the old days tetuls wont make it there without a trailer now thats a bike build off jesses the man bottom line

  82. 82 rob Dec 9th, 2011 at 2:02 pm

Somebody tell Paul Jr that he stole the hydraulic kickstand on his Cadillac CTS bike from Matt Hoch – see Biker Build Off 2004!!!! Definitely not an origianl idea on PJD’s part. Even though Pauly acted like he was the first to come up with the idea. Hey Jr, at least give props to Matt, if you’re gonna steal his ideas!!!!

  83. 83 the one Dec 15th, 2011 at 12:06 am

it wasnt a hydraulic kickstand dummie it had a air bag get your facts straight!!!!!!

  84. 84 Harry the Geriatric Apr 7th, 2012 at 9:05 am

Bikes form Paul Jr. and Sr. are nothing but trailer queens. Jesse’s bikes are to ridden.
It is one thing to build a bike for a show, it is another to build a bike for the open road that works.
I would love to see a new category in judging any bike build in a Build-Off.
A 1000 mile test ride. Lets then see which bike will survive.

  85. 85 bikenator May 3rd, 2012 at 11:42 am

Jesse james really is the most useless bike builder ever his bikes are boooooring and look like thousands of other boring choppers. he is also the most arrogant fool and really showed himsel up on the show shame on the idiot.
