Morgan, the iconic British brand founded by Harry Morgan, is launching this new 3 Wheeler model with a sporty bullet shape and exposed chassis design reminiscent of the 30’s but updated with a 21st century technology (see design evolution in a video after the jump.) How to call this machine with a “Race On Sunday” philosophy? A Trike, Sport Car, Speeding Bullet, Pod Racer? Let others decide when you start and launch down the road your missile equipped with a polished S&S fuel injected V-Twin engine (approved on US and European roads) mated to a Mazda 5 speed transmission with reverse. Let’s trust Morgan when they state that weight of the engine is counterbalanced by the mass of the passengers and that this 3 Wheeler has a planted feel with a very low centre of gravity to ensure it remains glued to the road.
Unique decals are available and include special designs including US military and British Air Force inspired logos, oval racing numbers and stripes, a fearsome shark nose, chequered winner’s bonnet, official national flags and the Morgan wings. Bespoke leather and paint, polished engine, stainless steel tailpipes, cowl, polished cowl, headlamps and roll hoops are extra cost options. Pricing starts at £ 25,000 (US$34,500). Morgan Motor UK.
Superb ride!
Beautiful work and ride – can’t wait to see a few of these on the road -;0)
I want one. Money!!!
Driving made fun again. I like antique re-done, keeps a person grounded in a nonsense world.
There was an original Morgan 3 wheeler in Rivera Primo in California. Rare piece very nice. This new Morgan should be a hit with S&S motor and newer technology .
words don’t describe how freakin cool this thing is…I have to have a test drive!
Thanks Cyril for bringing this one. It makes all trikes look ugly and it’s not more expensive than many one-off 3 wheelers built by some custom builders. A beauty I would ride every day everywhere.
It’s the reason why I love your Blog. F……g cool stuff every week.
When America is going to get cool ideas again like this one? We lost our edge for everything automotive.
Beyond super cool. Can I please have one!
Can I have one with one of Cameron Engineering’s recreation JAP engines?
They produce about the same power as a Euro 3 strangled X wedge, are 1000 times more authentic and way better looking for a Morgan recreation.
Still cool they are back though.
Very cool.
S&S 115″, beautiful body, luxury trim. Works for me.
The modern design is from Seattle, WA. Liberty Motors, aka Ace Cycle-car, has been building and selling them for several years. Morgan bought him out.
I want a red one with flames and the steering wheel on the left side. Way Cool!! Wiz
I would buy one but is it REALLY going to be available ? You know, all that pesky EPA nd DOT stuff… too many projects of this nature never make it past those hurdles or it takes years . BTW…still waiting for my Brammo Empulse
Hi Mr Harms,
It will be available! It is on its first display at the Geneva Motor Show and will be revealed on the 1st of March. Regards, André
I notice that Morgan claim 115HP from this X wedge, I wonder if they are quoting S&S’s own pre emission numbers or if they now have actually gotten a genuine 115hp out of a Euro 3 certified production engine?
the S&S T and V series engines were so strangled to comply with european noise and emission regs they were nigh on anaemic. 66hp for a 124 cu is pathetic and (almost) unsellable IMO.
a genuine 115hp European compliant X wedge interests me still, I have no desire to pay the 15 grand S&S wanted to test it without guarantees that they could actually get usable amount of power out if it.
Maybe S&S can comment in this thread.
Cool piece…hope they make it into production without a lot of EPA add-on’s like 5mph crash bumpers, ugly catalytic converters and mufflers, etc.
S&S is in Church, on Sundays !
Should have put a JAP engine up front with a Roots supercharger…
There’s a company in Seattle that makes them. They were featured in Esayrider mag a few years ago.

i think i’d spent that kind of cash on this, put maybe not on a H.D. that they have now.
Beautiful piece of machine…..hats off to builder.
very kul
