Orange County Choppers Headquarters Facing Foreclosure

The foreclosure action by lender GE Commercial Finance Business Property Corp. claims that OCC missed mortgage payments of approximately $96,400 and $14,000 due on July 1 on 2 loans of $11 million and of $1.5 million used to build the Newburgh, NY headquarters.  The Orange County (Industrial Development Agency (IDA) is also named as a defendant in the action, since it owns the property under a payment-in-lieu-of taxes arrangement with Orange County Choppers.

IDA gave important tax breaks to OCC in exchange of the company building the headquarters in the New-York State county. The Orange County IDA is not liable for the back mortgage payments because a clause in the lease-back arrangement indemnifies it against default by Orange County Choppers.

OCC lawyer Richard Mahon states that in 2007 the building had an estimated market value of $12 million, but now is worth only $7 million. Consequently, he says that OCC stopped making payments to put pressure on GE Commercial Finance to modify the terms of the 2 loans. Reliable sources tell me that OCC is structured via different independent companies and that assets are substantial and protected. So, don’t assume that OCC or that Paul Senior are broke because their real estate loans are not paid on time…Real estate business as usual, recession style. But it may be more, a 1st step to a Chapter 11 reorganization to adjust to a new economic reality…

Paul Teutul Sr. smarter than what most people think. Proof again.

  2. 2 Dany Dec 6th, 2010 at 9:34 am

OCC mortgage and other operating costs represent a huge amount to pay every month. The OCC junk does not sell very well anymore. Paul Senior, like all American businesses, must cut the fat everywhere he can. For his income, no worry. If he is smart, it’s him personally, not OCC, receiving all appearance fees and royalties from the Discovery/TLC show.

“Reliable sources tell me that OCC is structured via different independent companies and that assets are substantial and protected. So, don’t assume that OCC or that Paul Senior are broke because their real estate loans are not paid on time”

Which again calls into question Sr.’s assertion that OCC has zero value in his ongoing dispute with Jr.

Interesting concept. Does it work with new Harleys too? Buy it new, and because the value drops quit making payments. After all it isn’t my fault it is worth less than what I paid for it. Them damn creditors should not have loaned me the money… Oh wait… now that I woke up out of my plastic bubble dream world. Just goes to show how irresponsible OCC really is. Business as usual in the ole USA make someone else pay for it so I can make a profit. Nothing but welfare scum disguised as a corporation.

No one said OCC was trying to get out of paying. They are fighting for a loan restructure, just like half the people who got mortgages in the 90’s that can no longer afford to pay them. The cut is in the interest rate not in the amount of money loaned. Companies do this all the time. Most Americans, including businesses lived well outside what the economy could sustain. Almost all businesses are restructuring to help profits and if you had a business Scott, you would be doing the same thing to keep you and your employees fed. I doubt you could get a bank to restructure a bank loan for a Harley but hundreds of thousands of Americans are doing it to save their homes.

Do you think the bank wants to repossess a building they loaned 12m for when it’s only worth 7m? I don’t think so. it’s smart business. Donald Trump declared Chapter 11 several times and we consider him one of the best financial minds of all times.

  8. 8 A 1 CYCLES Dec 6th, 2010 at 11:33 am

the banks wont restructure (reduce or modify) your commercial loans if you are “current” as in paid in full every month..your only bargaining power is to not pay the note…it gets their attention very quickly.then they will come to an agreement..it is business as usual in our times…its sad but it is business as usual

Ok, so I purchased my house and received a rehab loan to do some upgrades. Since then the value of my house has gone down. I’m going to stop paying back that loan and see if I can’t renegotiate the loan value. I’ll follow up with everyone from the curb when they kick me out for being delinquent.

There are too many bitter people in the world today, not many willing to say a good word about someone, but always quick to pull them down. Does it really improve your quality of life when you talk smack about this family? Shocking! I was brought up to know that if you havn’t got anything nice to say, don’t fucking bother!

After all is said and done , maybe we will see the industry ( custom bike building ) come back to it’s roots. No more glass cathedrals and mega – mogul personnas , just some guys and some tools
and a little vision and passion . Remember the unanswerable question , If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is there to hear it , does it make a sound? The greater question is , Can a hot custom bike be built today without a tv crew there to film it? Does anyone really think that the economic turndown is responsible for hindering potential clients who could afford a 100k theme bike in the first place to pinch their pennies? I wish no hard luck on anyone and I hope all the Teutels make out and make up. Glidin – to better days.

o.c.c. kept expanding as if they thought the dream would never end.
    now it is.
when our arrogance and pious attitude catch up to us all we have left is shambles. they never should have built this monument to themselves and the banks should have been bright enough not to loan them the cash to do it.
    but they are not.

I don’t think anyone should jump the gun here and get too excited about OCC losing anything. What I see is a fairly standard thing for big companies to do. They stop making payments then then the bank freaks because the bank does not want the building so they lower your interest and your payments drop drastically. This sort of thing happens all the time. And it does not really mean anything other than Sr. is listening to his attorneys that have experience in getting better deals from the banks. Nothing more Nothing less. Remember people their TV show is still on air and Walmart is still selling the OCC shirts and bikes and lunch boxes. All of which pay very well. Only if the building is ceased by the bank or OCC is forced into bankruptcy should you well wishers start celebrating. Until then it’s just business as ussual for Sr. and OCC.

  18. 18 J Dec 6th, 2010 at 11:09 pm

LOL- keep drinking the Kool-Aid, kids.

    There is nothing minor or normal about restructuring $12.5M of loans into a $7M current value property- GE can simply take the write-off on the $12.5M, without the hassle of renegotiating with anyone, and lose less money on this deal, so no, OCC isn’t exactly operating from a position of leverage here;

What OCC looks like they’re implementing is a pre-bankruptcy strategy, but more importantly, for OCC to go forward with ANY reorg plan, they’re going to have to be able to demonstrate a reasonable expectation of supporting cash flow and asset values- uh, how many shows left in the new series?

We all see stories like this on every block of America lately, tho in hindsight, WTF was GE thinking, loaning 100% money to these monkeys to build a palace based upon a TV show fad, out in the middle of nowhere?

It didn’t make any sense even back during the peak, as numerous posts on the Cyril Huze blog suggested when this place was built.

Hey Paul Jr- suddenly, selling that 20% of OCC back to dad for zero looks like a pretty interesting idea………..

  19. 19 SCOTT Dec 7th, 2010 at 7:46 am

It seems to me if you borrow the money and agree to pay it back over a certain amount of time you need to do what you agreed to do or your word is worthless. Need I say more?

Losing something you love such as OCC is very painful.

After a significant loss, you may experience all kinds of difficult and surprising emotions, such as shock, anger, and guilt.

Sometimes it may feel like the sadness will never let up. While these feelings can be frightening and overwhelming, they are normal reactions to loss.

Accepting them as part of the grieving process and allowing yourself to feel what you feel is necessary for healing including getting drunk.

Live for tomorrow and prosper . let someone else live your past. I did ! It saved me a lot of money.

Find a new toy or kick the dog or beat your neighbor.

Excuse me I must go now for I can hear the fat lady singing ! LOL

Paul Sr has always looked at situations from a long term perspective. I don’t believe this is anything different. These are very trying times for anyone in business not just OCC. I do not know details but I will say there are and have been alot of businesses, large and small, that are going through various situations of adjusting to this economy that was forced on all of us.
I was part of a company where I had 2 partners. That company is gone but building remains that I am still responsible for. I am currently in the middle of negotiating with the bank to purchase the building but the building is worth less than what it was 3 yrs ago. Does that mean that I am going to pay what it was worth 3 yrs ago or what it is worth now? Kind of a stupid question. 😉 I do not know if this is their situation but it is my situation and i am telling you that the building here is going to short sale for 1/2 what it was worth 3 yrs ago. If I don’t do this,it would sell for even less on the open market.
REMEMBER that this economy was forced on us. Remember what brought all of this to where we all at now. This is no one persons fault and that includes Paul Sr and OCC. I hope that it all works out for the best for OCC and as far as the bank is concerned,I have no love for any large bank-whatsoever. When you are dealing with a large financial institution, you are not dealing with something that exhibits ethical practices, ect.I have to stop before my blood pressure goes up.

  38. 38 Bigal Dec 8th, 2010 at 8:42 am

Look at you Ungreatful Chopper Builders, and Parts Makers that should be about 80% of you!. Here comes Discovery Channnel and they find the OCC Family and make them all Stars. They brought 5 Million viewers to watch these talented People or Family which they are, Build and INVENT a Bike Style that looks Sexy, and have the appeal that made America and the World of Ego minded and Rolex Style Bikers a Chopper that said “that could be me If I changed..” That’s is how it looks to Objective Motorcycle Owners and Riders. They Put the World’s greatest and Biggest Corporations and Private Organazations into BUILDING a Chopper to help with their Image. And all of you Little Shop Owners or Weekend Bike Repair Shops or Welding Shops a way in the Chopper business! So you all started Building those Useless Style of Motorcycles. Now 2 things happened at the same time… 1. Our Economy Tanks 2. People realize they are buried in a Style of a Motorcycle that they are not going to Ride, because you can’t go to the Bar enough to make their Choppers useful. Now you are pissed that Sr. wants to renegotiate His Mortgage , because that isn’t fair. If you borrow then you should pay it back or you will be shunned by the Blogger’s on this site, Bullshit. Sr. if you can get out ofthat Stupid Motgage of $12.5 Mil and Own the Property for what it is worth, then offer the Bastards $5 Mil cause there probably are no buyers out there for a Building Like that for $7.5 Mil even though that is what it is appraised for. Remember you Chopper Builders, these are the Banks that are charging you 26% – 35% for your Cards that you are Floating (Living)with. And for all you Motorcycle Owners out there that are upset about being Under Water with your Bikes, who told you that they were Investments? There is a Price of Ownership, and if you ride them the Value increases, even with a Chopper !!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Bigal , You are obviously very passionate about this issue and if I understand your point, all us so-called ” little ” bike building shops and welders are being ungrateful to Paul Teutel and what you perceive that he has done to benefit our ” little ” shops and insignificant existences. I am not as passionate about The Teutels and the American Chopper show as you but I do have strong feelings about all the ” little ” shops etc. that you have eluded to and our lack of gratitude to Paul Teutel and all that goes with him. I personally do not wish the Teutels or their organization any ill will nor do I fell like I owe them any due homage. I cannot for the life of me think of any reason I or for that matter any other ” little ” shop should be grateful ( greatful ) to them for some perceived residual benefit that has trickled down from Mt. Teutel. I have had no multi-million dollar pencil neck executives call me and want a 100k theme bike to propogate their latest boot or revolutionary lawnmowers. On a personal note I do not appreciate your not so suttle, insinuation that
all the little people are somehow less than worthy when it comes to custom bike building and or welding ( your words , not mine ) when compared to The Teutels and their CNC specials. Thank God that imagination , inspiration and ingenuity are not an exclusive commodity in this world , reserved only for the BIG guys. On the contrary , I have found in many cases , that those who have the least resources can see and create the more and the better because of it. Bigger is not always better , (eg. our compassionate and efficient federal goverment). Little shops unite. I think I can-a -glide.

I am in on the Jeff Nicklus comment by “madpuppy” above – when are you going to do an interview with Mr. Nicklus? Always a breath of fresh air – always the truth. Would be extremely interesting to see what he is all about. You can bet it would be honest and colorful! Now that’s REALITY TV.

    Speaking of which:
Frankly it is my belief that OCC has been nothing but a detriment to the motorcycle industry. Their “onscreen antics” have only enforced the mainstream public’s attitude that bikers are loud, obnoxious, brainless, brutal idiots. The very thing that most of the manufacturers have tried to overcome OCC managed to desecrate. And now their unwillingness to dig into their own pockets to pay for the “glass cathedral” makes them more transparent than ever. Where’s is their accountability? Is this yet another property that the lending institutions will foreclosure on (and “we the people” will pay for) or another scam to lower the mortgage? On top of that their bikes are crap which makes this even more irritating.

This is what is wrong with our business practices and why the laws need to be refined. OCC gets into trouble and stops paying. Gee let me see if I did that with my mortgage soon there would be marshalls escorting me out of this house. Why is OCC getting a buy with Chapter 11? If their market value dropped 45% then though knoogies guys, welcome to our world!!!! Stop playing financial games and fess up or close up if you can’t pay.

  59. 59 Conrad Nicklus Dec 13th, 2010 at 11:45 pm

    Domenic,
I believe they can pay, Sr has walked away with well over a hundred million in cash from all the sales (excluding motorcycle sales). He is doing this as a weight factor and to see what he can do to not pay Jr what he believes is owed to him. The fair market of 99% of business’ out there is ZERO seeing that most are in debt up to their eyeballs to stay afloat right now in the current economic situation we are all in, OCC has money and will have for quite a while BUT I believe Sr is just trying to find an out at this point or an easy way to cut down spending on a month to month basis. Whatever the case may be, OCC will not last much longer in this indusrty. Maybe it is time he looks at getting back into the steel fabrication business and leave the bikes to the truly deserving.

My opinion is this, and it is my opinion,sr from day one has pushed his son to breaking point, all the bikes from the early days that so many people talk about on different forums were all from jr,he designed these bikes and built them, and he had a good team around him with Vinnie and Rick and Christian, now i dont care one way or another if sr goes down the swannie or not,if he is that good of a business man he would know that he has to get Jr back at any cost,as a father of mature age kids i would never have done to my kids what he has done to his,if my kids did better than me i would be happy not jealous like sr is,that and the fact that those in the office poured poisen in his ear to get shot of both Jr and Mikey did him no favors

He needs to get rid of the brown noses, get Jr back and let him run the workshop as for jason he would get one hell of a kick up the backside, who does he think he is,his nose is so far up sr`s arse its not roses hes smelling, cant stand that bloke, anyone with the right softeware can design the same types of bikes he is doing,he is doing nothing special, the old man has to get Jr back, otherwise he will lose the lot,its a big move he has made with occ and if it goes tits up he only had himself to blame,as for playing with his creditors, thats just plain stupid, thats my opinion.

  64. 64 buddy12 Jan 24th, 2011 at 4:23 pm

All you people that have your head up SR’S a–, I find it just funny as hell ITS A TV SHOW PEOPLE!!!

  65. 65 hawk Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:12 pm

Lets see Sr is not paying his bills because he wants to force a restructuring of his loans…ya right…what he is doing is preparing his company so it comes across looking like its worth less so Jr has no way not to sell his shares for almost nothing….come on people…wake up…everyone needs a Dad like Sr….NOT!!!!!

  66. 66 bailey Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:14 pm

Paul Sr has a medical condition that prohibits him from understanding the truth. His lack-luster methods to fatherhood prevents him from dealing with reality. All he has to do is watch his own program to understand that his malicious methods are coming back to bit him in the ass; not to mention pushing his kids away from him.

  67. 67 Bob Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:16 pm

I hope the scum bag company goes down in flames.Anybody that thinks this is the right thing to do is crazy. He started a business and let the fame and the money go to his head you dont see these other bike builders in multi million dollar buildings i hope he get what he deserves for what he has done to his family.Take it all away let him build bikes on the wet ground like he says he used to do it yeah wright.

  68. 68 Steelman Mike Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:18 pm

First what Sr. is doing to his 2 boys is wrong. His kids hate him. I do not blame them >>>>

  69. 69 Dan Teutul Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:21 pm

Paul Sr is a jackazz and Paul Jr is the better bike builder. Do you think Sr has the problem when ALL your kids hate you, you are on your 4th relations with a woman and your employees hate you but kizz your azz because they need a job. What a joke OCC has become. This foreclosure is the start of OCC going bankrupt so Paul Jr ends up with nothing and OCC comes out on the other side of bankruptcy as a fresh clean debt free company minus any ties to Jr. Sr is a dikhead!

    Danny

  70. 70 xczecch Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:22 pm

I stopped watching the show about 2 years ago because it was the same #%^* all the time. Controlling father disciplining his son. Same reason I stopped watching so many other show. Predictable. But the VS show has shown that a son can exceed his father. Just as Jr. said when he left. You will run this business into the groung. Sr chose the wrong people to listen to and it is going to cost him not only his business but his family. My feeling it is a real tradgety for a family. I only pray that they can be a family again. That would be the best ending to the show and so they have a future as a family, not as reality stars. Be carefull what you wish for in life you just might get it. joe

  71. 71 HARVEY Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:24 pm

Here’s an idea, GE repossesses the building, turns around and sells it to PJD. PJD takes on investor(s) to cover the load, maybe GE or private equity. Because we all know who is going to win out in the long run.

  72. 72 Ted Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:25 pm

If Paul senior can afford the mortgages he has, he is obligated to pay them., It is people like him that put America in the hole that it is in today. Even though I work in residential real estate, I KNOW that a bank will do nothing for you if they know you can pay the mortgage and if Paul Senior has the bucks, then he needs to pay the money he agreed to pay back and yes, with interest ! People like this upset me to no end. You AGREED in writing to pay back a certain amount, I don’t give a shit if the economy isn’t what it was. You agreed, you have the money and you pay the debt owed. As far a seniors personal ethics with his family, I don’t know how the man or boy can sleep at night. Something just occurred to me, the company appraised for $0.00. Appraiser are usually working for the people who have hired them and yes they can sway results, its not legal but it does take place. If OCC appraises for $0.00, meaning it ain’t worth a damn thing. It would be far easier to convince the bank to change loan terms.hmmmm?????

  73. 73 jennygt Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:25 pm

ATTN: STEEL TOWN CHOPPERS! Lee we know this is you have you not taken money from sr. maybe he could make his payments on time. and if he quit talking smack on his kids maybe he would sell more customs! we have a fab shop and are doing just fine! Lee your gay!!

  74. 74 Slammin Sam Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:31 pm

So Senior. spends $12 mil to build facilty and then leases through GE based on what it cost to put up. GE did not determinine how much or what the building was, Senior did. Now he is not happy because market value is down and thinks he ought to be paying less. Some of you clowns call this smart. Most honest and honeralble people call it dishonest and slimmy.

  75. 75 HARVEY Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:32 pm

The problem here also is when he refinances these loans, the bank is going to want to see VALUE in OCC. And when Sr. shows them that the company is worth, say X amount, Jr. then has him by the balls. Because he can’t go on and claim the company is worthless, like he claims in his lawsuit with Jr. At that point GE is going to say that they will take the building back and cut their losses, say 4-5 million, and be done with them and put it up for auction.

  76. 76 Pizzano Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:34 pm

Yes it is just a TV show, I really dont give a crap what happens to SR, he has proven to be a very bitter to be old man with no family that gives a crap about him , just sad how he treats his own flesh and blood, that should be the real story hear , Loans , Mortgages etc is just that , paper with signatures.

The real damage is a Family in crisis and SR at the Helm of all the BS and lies and to air it on TV is just that much more of proof how SR’s mentality really is, (Facts: 3 sons wont associate with him, ex wife (kids mother) wont associate with him, not much said about his daughter, she probably is the smarter of the bunch to just stay out of the lime light with the crap that is being spewed on National TV. (good for her) although I am sure it effects her also, after all it is her brothers.

At least Jr got to set some things straight with the Ironhorse editor this weeks episode, from all the lies that Sr spewed, also the low life Lee who crawls back kissing Sr’s butt, what a joke, he also spewing lies all over.

Hopefully it will all end soon for the sake of the families sanity, but I think Sr is so hard headed and in denial to the point of no return.

Best of luck to PJD and his future.

  77. 77 pb Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:34 pm

I think we should follow the lead of the super genius Paul Sr and not pay our mortgages if the value of our homes decreased. After all Paul Sr. is the Warren Buffet of custom bike building, don’t believe me just ask him

  78. 78 pb Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:42 pm

I love when Paul Sr states as fact his opinion on what his sons think, say and do. But what I love the most about Paul Sr is that he is never too busy to play the victim as he destroys his family. Keep it classy Sr.

  79. 79 sayshaD Jan 24th, 2011 at 10:46 pm

What a mess! My wife and I stopped watching OCC a few years ago…We did see the show tonight.. Now i know why we stopped watching. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GOOD OLD OCC OF PRE-2007 ??? Would it really be a bad thing if they all went under??? Im making a plea to the Discovery Channel to find someone that just wants to get back to the business of building bikes..I can watch a soap opera during the day on ABC,NBC,or CBS………NOT !!!

  80. 80 Mac Jan 24th, 2011 at 11:15 pm

It sounds like someone is tring to get something for nothing oh wait that is just what
Paul Sr. accused Paul Jr. of doing what a scam. Also agree with sayshaD and it should be Paul Jr.
Designs if I could aford a bike Jr would be my builder. I further think that Rick Petco should join the Paul Jr Design team way to go JR< VINNY< MIKEY and Rick

  81. 81 Drew Jan 24th, 2011 at 11:17 pm

There have been many much larger companies that have done this in order to get a change on their rates for their loans ( ex: GM, Chrysler, AIG and others ). The loan companies will not talk to you unless you are behind on your loan, then they will try to pressure you to comply with the terms that were agreed upon instead of being willing to lower the rate. The loan companies/ big banks wrote loans even when they knew the people could not pay it back. At the beginning, the mortgage companies did not think that there was going to be such a LARGE number of people who would have problems so they were willing to take the house or business property back. Then when the numbers grew to numbers that they could not keep and still stay in business, they went to the federal government to ask for a bailout ( which they got ). If Jr or Micky worked anywhere else and did the things they did on the show, I don’t think that they would have worked there very long. He started out with a steel fab shop that his #2 son now owns, then the chopper shop ( before OCC ), gave his sons jobs that they did not have to work very hard at and got paid real well. I remember one show where Jr. told his dad that he had a real nice house because of his work. Then there was the show that had Jr’s house in it, his looked real nice to me. Micky has tried a few things and it seems like most have not worked out for him ( got the artist loft to work in after Jr. asked him to leave his shop. Now he is back there in the corner working on his art. I hope that things will work out for everyone, but the ego’s that all of them have will have to disappear in order for that to happen.

  82. 82 John P Jan 24th, 2011 at 11:19 pm

Another example on how some people and some companies refuse to take responsibility for their own actions. No where is it written in any loan documentation that the lender is responsible for the future value of the secured property nor obligated in any way shape or form to modify those loans. Why does OCC, or any other person or entity for that matter, feel that the lender should change the terms of their agreement. When OCC borrowed the money they agreed to pay it back at the agreed upon terms, but now feel that the lender should modify the loan to take part in the real estate investment loss. Would it be acceptable if the property value went up, the lender could then modify the loan to take part in the gain?

“F” em ! Foreclose the property!

  83. 83 ponygirl64 Jan 24th, 2011 at 11:27 pm

My wife and I watched the show tonight. Lee made me sick the way he kissed Paul Sr.’s ars. There bonding experience while repairing Paul Sr’s fence. “I love you man but I won’t kiss you.” Laying it on way too thick. Furthermore I cannot understand how a father could seek to destroy his own son. It is a sad affaire indeed.

  84. 84 Rick Jan 24th, 2011 at 11:36 pm

Now, to be fair, Rick Fairless was crazy as bats before the show.

  85. 85 Annoyed Jan 24th, 2011 at 11:57 pm

What Senior is doing is what we call irresponsible. He wanted this loan at all costs. Now he has to pay, everyone is suffering from declining values. If he is as hardy as he says he is, then he will pay his dues like every other business owner and get out of this mess on his own,not blame everyone else for his problems like he does on the show! Step up, the reason I believe he is losing market share is because everyone is tired of him saying oh poor me, we are in serious times here and we need to only deal with serious people. Step up or Step aside, we want to deal with people who bring inovation and foresight into this economy today not people who are trying to bash their own family for hopes that it will bring them money or fame. As for the individual who mentioned Donald Trump earlier, you need to go back to business school, or read more about what he did, because that does not even compare to this!!

To sayshaD, they should bring back “Biker Build Off” now those where some damn nice bikes.

  86. 86 jeff Jan 25th, 2011 at 12:09 am

    paul sr is a joke

  87. 87 Charles Jan 25th, 2011 at 12:13 am

One word WOW!!!!!!!!!! This Guy has the nerve to trash his son’s.It seem that they are doing well for them selves now that their on there own,So I say to Paul Jr. and Mikey well done and if there is one thing to take from this well You did it your way KEEP YOUR HEADS UP

CARMA IS A BITCH PAUL Sr.

  88. 88 NV Guy Jan 25th, 2011 at 12:17 am

Here’s what I see ….. Junior is obviously very talented when it comes to designing. He is NOT the most driven when it comes to getting things done. As a business owner myself I can only hope that he surrounds himself with people who know how to get things done and leave himself the freedom to create, which is what he shines at.

Paul Sr …. this guys is not a business man. He was filling a decent niche back in the old days & making a buck doing what he enjoyed. He was lucky he had a kid who shared his passion for motorcycles. Only when Paul Jr got involved did the business take off. If this were my kid, I would give him all the freedom in the world to stay creative. If this meant that he worked odd / few hours …. so be it. I’ll be on vacation. Mail me my check.

Worst of all, Senior is destroying his family. He will die a very lonely man …..

  89. 89 Paul B Jan 25th, 2011 at 12:21 am

First of all, let’s not shed any tears for those OCC boys. They’ve made a lot of money from bikes and t-shirts. Also, Discovery Channel pays them a pretty penny to bellyache about each other every show and they know it.

What’s interesting to me is that if the building is really $5 million under water, then Senior is probably right in saying that the overall business valuation is very low, and maybe negative, because you would calculate it as the present value of future net cash flows plus assets (the building) minus all debt.

Part of this maneuvering is probably to lower the interest rate, and part of it will probably be used to prove to the judge that the company is not worth anything.

  90. 90 royce Jan 25th, 2011 at 1:27 am

Crazy. but thats how it goes, millions of dollars, where does it all go.Looks to me like sr. gots it all, also a serious case of the roid rage all agains’t his boys how sad. work it out ya donkeys

  91. 91 Craig Jan 25th, 2011 at 1:34 am

I think Paul Sr. is a bitter old man that wants to control everhing and everyone in his life. he feels threatened by Paul Jr. and his ability to do well and maybe better bthan himself. everything that comes out of his mouth is bashing his son. This is why he is slowly but surely loosing his foot hold in the bike industry. Why cant he just let well enough alone and be an honest competitor in the field. Facing forcloser on your building, well stop trying to sue your son and maybe you will have money to pay your rent, mortage etc: Stop the crap if it was’nt for paul jr you wouldnt be where you are at now. Since he has be gone all your bikes are crap no orignality. And as for Jason NOT he is a wannabe Paul Jr. Thats were he got his creative ability from. Take heed if you dont make amends you are going to your grave a lonely bitter old man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  92. 92 jeffery Jan 25th, 2011 at 2:36 am

Paul sr can sell his over 100 vintage cars an ranch an stop geting all these new cars he an beth drive.an live like normal people.an take the show off T V.Jr also needs to have to sell his house an all his new cars an live like normal people.mike needs to find some other way to live an make money an get out an find a real job.the people that made the show got screwed an now they need to know how it feels.i HOPE they take the show off T V.make a show about Joe martin now he can build a bike.

  93. 93 otto Jan 25th, 2011 at 8:03 am

You borrowed the money no matter how the companies are legally structured. You agreed to the terms of the contract. Pay up! Be a man. Why shoud the bank (which is also a business) take the loss for YOUR bad investment. We pay higher rates to make up for the losses suffered by the banks. How about you finance a bike for someone, let them mak a couple payments. Then decide they only want to pay for 1/4 of the agreed price. Sound fair?

  94. 94 DIRTYBIKER Jan 25th, 2011 at 8:37 am

I have been riding since I was a kid.
Nobody who puts their ass on a harley seat would wear their gear.
The money and the fame wrecked this family and its in foreclosure also.
Theres 2 eps. left and I suspect the ratings have either gone in the toilet or the two have reconciled.
Somrtimes doing what you love is good for awhile until other things come in to play and puts a fly in the ointment.

  95. 95 paul stockton Jan 25th, 2011 at 9:26 am

Paul Sr. did cut the fat from his business. He got rid of those worthless sons of his.

  96. 96 mikey jr. Jan 25th, 2011 at 9:31 am

whats really amazing is all the idiots that actually think paul jr is somehow talented. even after the producers show when the overall producer mocks jr. about paranoia over secrets, too funny. the court jester pjd design logo, the joke/insult to any one thats ever actually gone to any art/design school/college, can he draw? fabricate? other than to weld or hammer or bolt together someone else’s work.

  97. 97 OCC Steamroller Jan 25th, 2011 at 10:00 am

Love the show. OCC is the most outrageous hour on American television. The stress of a family run business is shown in vivid detail.

Senior melts down due to the American economy tanking. Both Junior and Mike are deathly afraid of Senior’s steroid induced psychosis. Both are independent contractors instead of employees. Senior sees no skin in the game fires Junior and Mike sides with his brother.

Junior opens his own shop and is sued twice by OCC only to find that foreclosure for OCC is just around the corner. The press spins this story making foreclosure look like a great business strategy. Everyone in TV land knows that the bank GE Capital owns OCC’s building. We are told not to worry Senior has a boat load of cash and is just applying good business sense by not paying his bills. Analogies of Donald Trump declaring bankruptcy are made comparing Senior to Trump.

This is better than a damn Greek tragedy. No one wins. One wonders how the guys at the Discovery channel can continue to get high ratings. I like both Senior and Junior and will not judge either of them. My sincere desire is to see an episode where they both admit their mistakes and reinvent the show as they have done several times in the past.

  98. 98 Scott Orth Jan 25th, 2011 at 10:12 am

One lesson this does teach is how dis-functional a family can get when a father abuses drugs and alcohol. Mike and Paul Jr. are products of Paul Sr poor example of a balanced & moral lifestyle. Paul Sr doesn’t take any responsibility for this and continues to play the victim. At he end success corrupted their fragile relationship which for years was flowing in a positive direction. Paul Sr needs a slice of reality. It would be very interesting to know what his relationship with his father was or wasn’t. Leave it up to good ole USA greed to find a way to propagate and profit off of this. What a country.

  99. 99 Paul Jan 25th, 2011 at 10:37 am

Now that I got rid of my sons I can run the business into the ground and show everybody what a big bully I am – I’m the boss and don’t forget it.

  100. 100 Susie Jan 25th, 2011 at 10:49 am

Sr… as of you mentioned “I’m the boss and don’t forget it”.. Better think cautious in advance your words come out from your mouth…… Your perspective is really SOMETHING!

  101. 101 EF Jan 25th, 2011 at 11:55 am

I have been a long time watcher of the show. I am also a business owner of two of my own businesses and manage the family business on top of it all. From the standpoint of a business I understand what SR. is trying to do, but he is extremely flawed in his thinking. I have many personal close friends who are CEO and Presidents of Regional banks. We talked about this and think its a lose lose situation for OCC. The only positive that could happen is that the bank repos the building and SR buys it from GE in cash personally. Then OCC rents the building from him and he ears a rent check. The problem is that outside of OCC who will buy that building no one. So GE cuts its losses and people like me who use GE for credit get bent over to make up the loss. We will have a harder chance of getting a better rate cause the loss is going to be so high on this building. So its a lose lose situation.

As for building SR only designed a bike or two in the years. So he can’t say he ever built the company. Jr. designed the bikes and continues to. Sr always complained about anyone and everyone. If he didn’t do that he never would have been in the show. I would much rather let JR.s design it like he has all these years. Yes he doesn’t build it hands on like some that is vinnie and otie who do that but that doesn’t make Jr. any less of the bike. Without JR.s design the bike would be nothing. Give Jr. a few years he will still be making bikes and have all the technology that Sr does and will blow Sr out of the water. He doesn’t need that big building that Sr has to design a bike at a time for show. Keep in the small building and keep it up you will be stronger in the long run and better for it. Jr. is the visionary of the bikes. He keeps them simple but cutting edge at the same time.

Sr. if you want to keep your money coming in you will find someone who knows how to operate a business instead of hire all your budies like you did and run the business. Someone who has operated and knows how to operate and look at the books properly and get the real info would do you great. It is your attitude that has landed you in the dog house with GE. Get some real people in that building and they will work with you not you show off your guns cause your intimidation is just in your size. You can grow a company large but do not know what it takes to keep it at the top.

I hope they keep on the show with Jr. He is how it started and why I use to love it and own the DVD set back then not what it is now.

Sr. Look in the mirror if everyone in your family won’t have your back then who are you stuck with? Only employees and they will leave you as soon as you can’t pay for their salaries. Hope you and Beth then enjoy your house cause that will be all you have left. Employees come and go as they have for the company all those years. Family will have your back regardless and it shows that by the way they all back eachother and won’t with you that speaks more of a person than anything else in the world.

  102. 102 Bob Jan 25th, 2011 at 12:43 pm

Paul Sr is smart, He is fighting with JR to buy back 20 % of his own company, Well what is the company worth if it is in forcloser? You don’t think Paul Sr is going to keep building OCC net worth just to give JR 20% of it? He going to hit JR with 20% debt, file bankrupt, then pay nothing to get the debt out but assume the debt, and give JR 20% of nothing. Mean while make that banks give him a better deal, who els would pay all that money for that building. The bank would be lucky to get 1 Million for it. Jr should take a reasonable offer from SR and not fight him. Sr, has a good heart, Sr looks like he will give, but you cant take it from him. Can’t say I blame him. He got what he got by working his ass off, and not letting anyone take it away.

  103. 103 ali Jan 25th, 2011 at 12:44 pm

Sr. I am the boss too and if I acted like you I wouldn’t have any employees ..as far as not forgetting it.. you might want to do just that ..there are laws that govern how we act as a boss and you have broken everyone of them … so maybe in your best interest; stop acting like a fool .. and start acting like a man..you do remember how right? as far as you going belly up I don’t see that happening just yet but the writing is on the wall .. there is something mental going on here .. all of your children hate the site of you .. so that say’s alot about how much you really can manage a business when you can’t manage the respect of your own children.. You are caught lying in every show that is shown ..don’t you know we all watched and saw Jr. coming up with the ideals?? we watched how Jr. and Vinny and Rick took his ideals and built all those bikes you claim he had no part in?? are you really that much of an idiot that you think we can’t remember?? Stop this foolishness and get back to basics, and stop putting fool as your name .. want people to give you respect??? EARN IT BACK…

  104. 104 Brent Collins Jan 25th, 2011 at 12:49 pm

Jr said that Sr would “burn the company to the ground”. Now that might not happen, but the idea that Sr refused to pay his loan as leverage to refinance is proof that’s he’s a scum. Could the average homeowner do that? NO. The foreclosure rate is still rising and this idiot has the nerve to pull such a stunt all the while attempting to malign his sons. Paul sr is a low class human being. By his own admittance he spent years as a drunk and a drug user. He never a proper father figure and he wont’ take ownership in that either….I only hope that Jr never lets the old man back into his life.

  105. 105 John Jan 25th, 2011 at 1:18 pm

All this only goes to show how much interest can be created by a television company for the general population by producing a program for a catagory of people that did not watch the ‘regular’ soaps and now actually do watch one…
Amazing to see how people, in general, can be manipulated into an ‘opinion’ by editing and broadcast what the producers want you to see.
After watching a number of this show I personally can not conclude anything else that people who dislike, for instance, Paul SR fail to have recognized that that man is not really a genius, and portrays this over and over in the series, but he did/does have the ‘smarts’ to hire lawyers to set up business structures and the like to enrich his personal financial life.
If his kids can be the tool in all this to do so….he does not seem to care a whole lot about the outcome for that matter, but again….that is solely based on what i saw on tv and read on all forums, blogs and such.
    Hate the game….not the players.

  106. 106 Susie Jan 25th, 2011 at 1:23 pm

Paul Jr acted upon the right matter for leaving his dad’s shop due to his dad’s vociferating words. Sr is really a peromely low class human being. My eyes rolled up when the dummy of Jr on the bike and flew into the air and dumped on the ground. Who is the Sr? And I do hope the Jr will not be forgiven his dad .. Let his dad ponder about what he had done dreadfully wrong to his employees!

  108. 108 leapingknome Jan 25th, 2011 at 1:37 pm

funny reading all these postings. what i see is a man who built a company from nothing. got himself clean and sober. has 2 kids ( jr & mikey) working for him. jr is the most disrespectful and arrogant person i have ever seen. tv drama aside, he sees himself as entitled. mikey is just baggage who can produce nothing of any consequence.
no wonder paul sr, looks so bad these days. his kids drained the life out of him.

i knew that shop wasnt going to run productively without paul jr. because paul sr. had gotten above himself an thought that he was some sort of a king an just though hjust knew everything a paul jr knew nothing when he actually did all the designs. im not glad for him but he did it to himself bottom line he fuck up.

  110. 110 Calispony91 Jan 25th, 2011 at 1:57 pm

I hope he goes under. The way he is treating his kids. I tried to be bias on the whole situation, but after watching this season of senior vs junior. Jr made that company

  111. 111 Eagle Waiting Jan 25th, 2011 at 2:02 pm

Paul Tuttle Senior is not and never was a bike “BUILDER”. With his wonderful “award winning” bike with the sun painted on the tank all he did was take some parts off and have them rechromed, add some stuff off the retail shelf, and pay someone else for a paint job. That was from his own mouth on one of his early shows, wow yeah that’s a real bike builder!

  112. 112 Dez Jan 25th, 2011 at 2:12 pm

I suspect this situation by Sr could trigger a “Pierce the Corporate Vail” scenario if this ends up in a Bankruptcy Court or GE plays hardball when they lawyer-up on OCC. Owners can also take too much of a draw and have to give back. I guess you would have to see more of how the shares are distributed and who is on OCC Board of Directors and THEIR value also.
As for the show, I just ran across another small article where Jr is introducing another new product for a company. Along with last nites episode of the “Arm” it shows where companies are aligning themselves to be affiliated with. Speaking of the “Arm” I am sure that company did receive a phone call from OCC about not having them build their bike. I would have loved to hear that conversation.
Its nice to see Lee ride into the set for another paycheck from the Discovery Channel. That situation is corney as all hell. “dont forget to bring breakfast Lee” gag gag gag, talk about a time filler. Remember, Lee left OCC cause he didnt want to sign a contract with OCC, now he smells money and got in over his Hick-head opening his own company. It has to be pretty new, and hes already flying up the coast for Srs advice. Is this desperation, or for DC cash or just a suck-up?……. survey says “e” all the above.
Rick, Im hoping your banking your money, take a year in the Bahamas and go to Jrs shop after the heavy hand of powers contract on you has run out. You know where you belong. Vinnie, keep on rockin, Your about the only well rounded person on that show, now clean up everyone eles mess in that shop! LOL!

  113. 113 rob Jan 25th, 2011 at 2:48 pm

Maybe 15 of us should buy bikes off of Mr Paul and decide not to pay for them after we pick them up. They loose value the minute you leave the showroom. America is full of whiney non paying non working dirt bags…Why should Paul Sr be any different? This is a classic case of a man who grew way to big for his britches. Your mom must be proud. (Yes Paul, I have the guns to back it up and I do not have to wear sleeveless shirts to prove it.)

  114. 114 Mike Jan 25th, 2011 at 2:52 pm

When I first saw that new building, I said to myself, “self, he’s in way over his head, now.”

  115. 115 Axel Jan 25th, 2011 at 3:20 pm

    Wow, this post has legs.
As long as it’s still going so strong, I have to say it sure looks like a lot of posters have father issues, judging by their criticism of Senior. Doesn’t he deserve a little credit for making his sons millionaires? How can you criticize his business acumen when he’s built two successful businesses, Orange County Ironworks and Orange County Choppers, after overcoming his own substance abuse problems? How long would Junior have lasted at a real job working for someone other than his father? How long would Mikey have lasted, with no discernable skills whatsoever? I respect Senior a lot more for making a motorcycle business successful than his two non-motorcycle riding, coattail-clinging sons.

  116. 116 Jim Drew Jan 25th, 2011 at 3:27 pm

My guess is that this is the beginning of the end for OCC. I think Sr. is getting soaked by his lawyers who seem all too happy to generate work for themselves, like suing Jr. for stealing clients. Clearly Jr. was the creative and conceptual impetus behind OCC, and Sr. owes all of the success to Jr. and Mickey for creating a watchable TV series. Sitting with your feet up on a desk while reading People magazine (which is what Sr. does all day long) does not make you a successful entrepreneur. One little factoid, PAUL SR. DOES NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO ASSEMBLE A MOTORCYCLE BY HIMSELF !!! And that I find PATHETIC !!! He claims 38 years in “the business” but all he can do is set a motor down on a frame or screw down a fuel tank.

Also it looks like the years of steroid abuse are catching up to Sr., that or he’s back on the junk. His arms are shrinking back to pre-steroid size, almost no use cutting off any more sleeves to look tuff !

He’s no Father either… trying to cheat his own son…there’s a special place in Hell for people like Sr.

  117. 117 WOW!!! Jan 25th, 2011 at 3:55 pm

I still cant beleave that there is people out there that think people SR. is a smart man. Maybe you guys can all wait in the unemployment line with Sr. and his monkey boy Steve M.

  118. 118 OCC sucks Jan 25th, 2011 at 5:24 pm

The idea that SR. or Jr. are bike builders is crazy when the show started they did nothing but bolt parts they had bought from real bike builders together since then they hired some guys with some fabrication skills. The real bike builders that used to be on DC were Billy Lane,Jesse James to name a couple. They came up with their own designs and made the frame, tank, fenders . All OCC and JR. do is buy a frame, have an employee that has some fab skills make the tank, cut a store bought fender down and then take it to a great painter and say they built a bike. Get Real.

  119. 119 OCC sucks Jan 25th, 2011 at 5:25 pm

As for Jr. or Mike I would have fired both of them along time ago Jr for not showing up on time and Mike for not doing anything

  120. 120 RIVR5150 Jan 25th, 2011 at 5:38 pm

I think we should bail out another jackhole that overspent and is looking for a way out, this company makes 100.000 dollar motor cycles, and sr is worth millions ,toss him like they would me and you

  121. 121 JR1 Jan 25th, 2011 at 5:47 pm

If Paul Sr. wants to or has to cut the fat, he would have to fire himself as he does less than anyone at his shop. He needs to do his job and leave Jr. alone. When he fired Jr. he lost the best two workers in his shop (Jr. and Vinny) along with 90% of the creativity within his shop.

  122. 122 peteherr Jan 25th, 2011 at 6:12 pm

This whole thing is hilarious. I am addicted to American Chopper. It’s like a car wreck that I don’t want to look at but I just can’t avert my eyes. Love it every week. Hopefully it gets renewed for another season. I agree with everyone on this post. Sr. has serious control issues, anger management issues, and reality issues…..that being said, he built a few successful businesses. Good for him. He built them, and he might lose them. Jr. needs to get his head out of his butt too and get to work on time. Lead by example. If you are the boss or owner, people work best for you when you make them want to work. But there is no doubt that he is the creative one in the family. The bikes he is building since leaving OCC are kick ass. Mikey……I am speechless. I love the guy, but eventually, if this thing goes south and the show goes off the air, he will have to fend for himself. He could have his own show…..hilarious. Like I said….I love the soap opera. Hope it stays on the air.

  123. 123 Phang Jan 25th, 2011 at 7:03 pm

Oh wow! I didn’t realize when I drastically overpaid for my house that I could just stop making payments and start whining and the bank would be forced to renegotiate to whatever payments I wanted to make!

I never learned this one in school. Thank you Paul Sr. for this valuable lesson in douche-bag economics!

  124. 124 leec Jan 25th, 2011 at 7:35 pm

Paul Sr has done a lot of good for many organizations, especially our military.
Why does the media paint such negative tones, and why as AMericans do we beleive everything we read or hear. That is the problem with this country. Paul Sr is a smart business man who pays people to watch his assets. Give him credit as a giving, caring, human being. Doesn’t anyone out there have money issues, or family problems? We are just not in front of a camera.

  125. 125 Chitown Slim Jan 25th, 2011 at 7:54 pm

Regardless, Paul Sr. Is a douche of biblical proportions

  126. 126 Vin Jan 25th, 2011 at 9:59 pm

Zyon, You have no idea what you are talking about. You are probably one those people who bought a house you can’t afford. Don’t post if you do not understand what is going on. IF YOU SIGNED ON THE DOTTED LINE TO GET THE LOAN AND AGREEDED TO THE TERMS, THAN PAY IT BACK.

  127. 127 Lady biker Jan 25th, 2011 at 11:05 pm

Have any of you ever met Paul Sr. or Jr. I met them at a bike show in phoenix a few yrs ago. Sr. Was friendly smiling at the fans and after waiting 4 hrs in line he happily signed my shirt , smiled for pictures….then the next to sign was Jr who signed my sihirt but never bothered to look up or smile…Jr looked unhappy being at the event…very unfriendly. Most comments out there wish Sr harm. But you were all obviously fans at one time and made them, OCC. The icons they are. Everyone loves you when you,re at the top but can,t wait to watch you fall….sad sad people.

  128. 128 Ryan Jan 26th, 2011 at 12:01 pm

Why not have a show where these two build their own bikes. NO HELP. Like a the biker build off. Then have those bikes voted on by a giant crowd. NOW THAT WOULD BE A SHOW AND SHATTER EGOS! Are they even capable of this…and they both have to build rigid pans…make it nice and simple and classic. have at it!

  129. 129 people change Jan 26th, 2011 at 12:18 pm

@ Lady Biker- so you really think now that Paul Sr. has become a so called big star and I use that term lightly, do you think he is the same person that you got to meet years ago. Fame changes people, and whats to say that Jr was not having a bad day, have you never had a bad day and not been unfriendly to someone I really think not, everyone has. So I dont think you can base it on that he signed your t shirt because you bought something he was selling.

Paul Sr. started in his basement allright !! He bolted on a few purchased parts and hired someone else to paint it for him. He knows little about bikes, tools, or building. If it wasn’t for Discovery he would still be in his basement. He couldn’t even make a sissy bar ! Give me a break, he is 60 freakin years old and still wears a muscle shirt to promote his arrogance. Why would anybody not want to share their new found fortune with their children ? what a jerk ! The real money in this ordeal is being made by Discovery selling this crap. It may be a tv show , but the really sad part is Paul Sr. is not acting !!

  132. 132 joye Jan 26th, 2011 at 1:41 pm

A steroid maniac screaming at his employees is entertainment? I can’t believe advertisers have not pulled out. I cannot believe charities associate with these morons. In fact I would like th 120 minutes of my life back that I spent on the 2 episodes I watched. Who was the loan officer that floated the loan…bet he or she is unemployed about now. Pay your debt OCC so we don’t have to. How do those guys look themselves in the mirror…shameful. This show is toxic and a “how not to behave” with your family and coworkers/employees. If I had to work around that I would have quit within a week.

  133. 133 bob the builder Jan 26th, 2011 at 2:11 pm

  134. 134 Jammer Jan 26th, 2011 at 5:22 pm

I could really care less about OCC. Paul Sr. is an a-hole. I am glad my father didn’t treat me like he does his own kids. Get a freakin clue dude, you have no relationship with any of your 3 kids. Who is the problem? And, look at the work Paul Jr. has been putting out. The Anti Venom bike is the baddest bike in Orange County. Paul Jr. was always the talent there. And that little crying biotch Lee, get serious dude. Paul Jr. gave you a job, flew you out there, and because he made you fix some of your jacked up work, you ran like a little girl. Now you are over kissin Senior’s azz. Punk. Sit and watch, OCC will go bankrupt at some point. And Sr. will blame that on his sons too. Crying azz little girl.

The sad thing is that it’s probably all part of him saying the company isn’t even worth the real estate while he continues to live in his mansion on the hill with the sprawling acres.

It’s too bad you can’t sue someone for just being an asshole father.

  138. 138 Paul Jan 26th, 2011 at 9:33 pm

Yea, the scene with Lee and the old man is a joke. Lee wanted some business advice and all the old man offered was nonstop b!tch!ng about Paulie. He needs to get over himself for 5 minutes and realize his days are numbered and that family is more important than this petty B.S.

I think that paul sr. / paul jr. / vinnie and their busineses are all funded by occ I also think that the occ family fued is just cover up to save face with the public when they file chapter 7 while the major assets are diversified and protected so its business as usual

  143. 143 Danny Jan 28th, 2011 at 7:47 pm

So Sr has substancial “protected” assets, yet he’s screwing his son by hiding those assets because OCC is structured via different independent companies. He tells his son OCC is worth zero. What. a. dick.

  144. 144 Fgvinyl Jan 29th, 2011 at 12:11 am

I must admit that I truly enjoyed the postings here. I have read several sites and it is all full of… well… “crap”. This site is very easy on the eyes. With the new season of sr. vs jr I must say that I am totally behind paul jr. Just watching the behind the scenes and other episodes I see for myself just how 2 faced paul senior really is. By trying to destroy his sons business just stoops to an all time low. I use to watch that show and think how I would love to work in a shop like that. But once everything turned around and paul jr was fired, I now follow everything about jr. I know he is not perfect but I stand on his side. He is very talented as I am sure most of you are too by what I have read here tonight. I just feel that it is time for occ to move on and let paul jr take over his own piece of the pie. Sorry but the new occ bikes look so plain and pre assembled anymore. That is just my personal opinion. Other than that I just wanted to say from what little research I have done by reading your posts I like the mentality here. I will be back. Sorry I am not a bike builder just a small home based business guy that makes vinyl decals. Hope I wasn’t intruding here. But after an hour of reading posts I decided I just had to chime in… Take care

  145. 145 Ned Street Jan 29th, 2011 at 1:52 am

Anyone that thinks he’s not broke does not understand what broke means. He still has plenty of income and likely plenty of toys. The problem is when you come to the end of your income or the end of your life and you or your heirs have to sell your assets and pay off your creditors there’s nothing left but a bill to bury you. If he is claiming the property is now worth 7 million the question is “to who?”, a car dealer? I don’t know of any other use for an ego building like he and his bank have. Have you read anything about the value of an empty car dealership. It’s more likely worth $3,000,000. The bank better work with him because they are’t likely to see another buyer for a long time. Maybe Junior could borrow $7,000,000 then another $3,000,000 to outfit it but that’s not going to happen either. These spenders have behaved like they are in Congress and borrowed into the future so far that they will never pay the bill. Yes, Paul Senior is broke and yes, OCC has no value because of the underlying debt. He has already bankrupted the steel business he owned then got caught hiding assetts. I think I won’t go to his business seminars on how to succeed.

  146. 146 Bethany Jan 29th, 2011 at 9:40 pm

I feel that if you make an agreement to pay on something like a loan then you should do so. If Sr. is having trouble paying the loan then look into programs to help you out. Don’t try to strong arm your lender into adjusting a loan you legally agreed to pay. This isn’t a mobster story! The only thing this does is make Sr’s word worthless. Yet Jr was the one who couldn’t be trusted? Hmmmmm

  147. 147 Robbie Jan 29th, 2011 at 10:18 pm

here is what my opinion is…go back to the very beginning of this tv show…look at srs face and juniours face..all they wanted to do was build bikes..they didnt care about the camera they didnt even really care about the money…sr was driving like a 1998 ford expedition that was a piece of junk…but as money got more involved sr bought a hummer..paul had his dodge..then sr supercharged his hummer and paul jr still had that dodge..then jr and mikey got matching trucks…sr kept spending all the money here…hes the problem sr got too greedy..he wanted to be more famous and become even richer…even today if you look at jrs eyes he still has that look like he just wants to build bikes..hes not arrogant like sr claims him to be. in my honest opinion sr needs to eff himself in the a because he knows jr is a better bike designer and builder..

this show has turned into a joke.why pay 100.000 or 150.000 for a chopper when you can buy a harley,a new car,and a house for the same money.how long did they think they were gonna get away with selling overpriced store bought parts with their logo on it for.paul sr is an arrogant as_hole.i hope the bank sues occ for breach of contract.

  150. 150 Don Jan 31st, 2011 at 2:56 pm

Maybe Paul Sr should get out of the charity business with his bikes and start charging for his builds. If the business is anything like what’s on the tv show then I can see why they are out of business. Paul Jr. is the man behind the designs anyway. If I want a bike built I’d go to Paul Jr.

I see many comments on how smart Senior is to force his lenders to restructure his loans and how this is what many people are doing this as well to fight from losing their homes…… That is true, but Paul Senior, like most of those also looking for restructuring to keep their homes, bit off more than they can chew. Shame on those who were foolish enough to buy into a flexible rate mortgage so you could buy a house twice what they can afford. I may sound cold, but please, please do look to any of us who were brought up by parents that taught us that our bills were OUR responsibility, not the banks, the government or anyone else to pay. Senior is in the same position. Senior builds a $11 million penis to show the world how great he is now he can’t pay for it.

I agree that very few wealthy people got that way without taking risks, but I am not in favor of bailouts which is what Senior is asking for.

LET’S SEE THE BENEFIT’S THEY HAVE ENJOYED, THEY HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THE WORLD! THEY HAVE MET THE MOST FAMOUS PEOPLE THERE ARE. THEY HAVE DELIVERED A FANTASTIC PRODUCT AND WITH CLASS. THEY HAVE BUILT BIKES FOR SOME OF THE LARGEST CPORPORATIONS IN THE WORLD AND THEIR STYLE OF BIKE SUITED EVERY CLIENT PERFECTLY. THEY HAVE THE GREATEST EQUIPMENT IN THE BIKE BUILDING WORLD. THEIR SHOW HAS ENTERTAINED PEOPLE THAT HAVE NEVER HAD A NICE THING TO SAY ABOUT MOTORCYCLE OR PEOPLE WHO RIDE MOTORCYCLES., AND TURNED THEM AROUND. I LIKE WHEN THE SENIOR’S THAT WATCH THE SHOW, NOW WATCH ME WHILE I AM OUT ON THE ROAD RIDING NEXT TO THEM. OCC HAS DONE WONDERS HAVE BECOME ABLE TO DO WONDERFUL THINGS, LIKE CHARITY WORK. THE FAMILY WILL BECOME A FAMILY AGAIN AND THE BANKS THAT TAKE IT IN THE ASS, WELL, ………………..THEY DESERVE IT.

  155. 155 Ken Feb 1st, 2011 at 3:01 pm

If it were me, here is what I would suggest. In order to save this `company `in general. Paul `Senior needs to leave. I know it`s his company, `but, when it comes to designing and fabrication, his son `Paul Jr. knows a hell of alot more in those two feilds than his father. I will not say`Paul Sr. is a dummy, `No, but I feel `Paul Jr. can run the company better and make it very profitable. They need to make a deal where it still remains `Paul Sr.s company, but `Paul Jr. has full authority on all decisions when it come to the actual `Bike Building. From designing, fabrication, organization, machining, paint, assembly, set-up for shows, etc. Paul Sr. will handle the business end as far as the company itself. Paul Sr. needs to `STAY OUT OF THE SHOP as much as possible. And let Jr. do what he does best. And that is `Deisign and Build Custom Choppers. i am not saying `No communication between the two, but keep Paul Sr. out of the shop as much as possible, the shop and how everything gets done, including `meeting the schedules is all up to `Paul Jr. If `Senior does come down into the shop for some `strange reason, it is just for administrative reasons. No telling Jr. how to build a bike, that`s not his department. I have watched this show for along time. i hate to see a company like OCC go down because the father and son can`t get along. `Senior is getting old and having health problems. He has a very `Talented son. I know he will never admit it, but he does. So why not keep `Senior in the office, take some time off with his new wife and simply start enjoying life and let `Paul Jr. run the show. I know he`ll do great.

Several people on this blog have implied that Paul Sr is smart. The fact is – he is a high school drop out / drug addict that can barely form a complete sentence. I would not consider him shrewd in any way. Personally I think he barely possess the capacity to dress himself in the morning. The fact that he cares more about his dog than his own Sons is downright disgusting. I guess some things never change. He was never there when the kids were growing up (too busy drinking and doing drugs), so it stands to reason that he would not be there now. None of this is shocking of course. The real shock is that some people actually like him. Wow.

Well, Bigalyts, the banks aren’t taking it the toilet, you and I are because the banks don’t pay for their own mistakes. When these buggers say they aren’t paying their mortgage to force the banks to modify their mortgage they are really saying you and I should pay the bill. Everybody says they aren’t paying their mortgage to force the banks into negotiation. The fact is they are broke and can’t pay the bills. Look how fast they spent millions. I suspect his house is fully mortgaged and his collections are floored. There is an old Texas saying that is applicable “Big Hat No Cattle”. He’s broke and wants you to keep him in the lifestyle he is accustomed to living.

Makes one wonder……………..Like, is pjd really as talentless as he seems, stuck with variations of his spider bikes. This will be an interesting standoff. If GE doesn’t blink and OCC refuses to pay their mortgage, GE would be lucky if they could rent that rhinestone barn as a warehouse. On the other hand if OCC continues to play hardball and GE puts them out on the street, they lose a huge chunk of their corporate identity and they appear to be a failed business in the eyes of many.

    GE will get their money…

We all saw it since episode one aired, jr’s talent far outdid that of his dad’s
Remember Jr’s words… Occ will go down if he’s not there

jr just sits on his lazy ass. makes a couple of drawings. comes up with some ideas. then everyone else does all the work. he has no talent. my 10 year old son can come up with a drawing/idea for a theme bike. sr started that company. and for his son to want to take all the credit. pathetic. jr is living off the occ name. he cant build a business on his own. and the ones hes tried have failed. bbq grills. lol

WOW jr just designs. He has the vision to design. So he doesn’t have all the skills that some of the people who work for him. That is ok cause that is what a designer does he draws and comes up with the ideas. That is why you hire people who can help you where you are weak and that is what he has done. If you say sr built the business what designing or building has he done. If you go back to even when the show started he just wanted sit back and complain. The bikes he said he built and designed he actually did less than jr does. He says a few things and lets the rest design. Sr just bolts on some parts and puts his size 12 to threaten his employees. Sr was just the money from the start. He said he won all these awards with his bikes that got him started. If you see those bikes all he did was bolt on a few parts and have someone else paint them. He did less than what you claim jr does. Atleast jr does more of the work that he can and can design his own without someone else comingup with the idea like Sr.

no one ever said they could not make the payment, just chose not to make the payment in order to get a loan restructure…never new that was a good negotiating techinique and obviously the creditor felt it is not….and to say there are no penalties..their lawyer sounds like the NFL lawyer..say what sounds good but way off the reality curve. If OCC is worthless then sell the business….then go into bankruptcy and then come out leaner and more competative…to stay where you are and want a restructure…lets just say it proves that Paul Sr is not correct and listens to the wrong advise…the house always wins

Sr. is an disguntled old man, he thinks he looks good in sleveless shirts, it’s kind of like seeing an old lady trying to wear something meant for a 20 yr old! and his wife should get her share and leave! on the show I never see sr. kiss her goodbye at anytime. Life’s short and a person should know that family is important but sr. seems to just care about himself and his dog that just bit the dust!

Paul Jr. is a spoiled rotten kid for leaving and opening up his own shop. Paul Sr. his Father set him up with a house and set Mikey up with a nice house to. They made plenty of money with their dad and they are spoiled brats for leaving him. Paul Sr. rough personality is what it is and many people have this kind of personailties living in NY.

Jim, You can say that about the two sons but you can also say that Sr. Sr. would not be where he is unless he had his son Jr with him. The bikes Jr builds as compared to Sr are not what made the company what it once was. As for leaving they had different ideas and did not like the way the business was operating any more with eachother. So they seperated. That happens every day if he went to work for another custom bike builder or like he did open his own shop. The money they all earned was off of eachother. Sr just thinks he can talk and build a bike. He is not designer and owes as much credit for the company since he was the money but Jr was the talent. Jr had a deal and earned alot of money based off of his value and what the company became. So he decided to take his risk with himself he owes nothing to Sr. As for Sr’s personality so what if it is what many people are like in that area. Does that make it right or correct to act the way he does? No, not in any way shape or form. If you did that in just about any other part of the country he would be fired so fast for creating a unworkable work environment. Sorry but at H-D he would be gone so fast he wouldn’t know what hit him. Place does not make it right just makes you an idiot.

Why is senior smart not to pay his obligations. He agreed to pay the loan when he borrowed the money. That is dishonest and a cheat not to pay your bills simply because you think that someone else should pay for what you bought. That is not good business or who knows what executives think now adays, maybe in business thats OK. To me its just lazy, stealing, and a cheat. Insult to injury is the fact that he has the money to pay his debts.

Is their a lawyer in the house, if so couldn’t mikey and Jr. sue Sr. for the way he talked to them as employees. If it was me i’d turn the tables and sue that old steroid freak for every last cent he can come up with
