Ozzy Osbourne To Join ZZ Top, Motley Crue, The Doobie Brothers And The Scorpions At Sturgis Buffalo Chip Biker Music Festival

Ozzy Osbourne will cap off the Summer’s Biker Music Festival at the legendary Buffalo Chip. One of heavy metal music’s original trailblazers, Ozzy Osbourne pioneered the sentiment that it’s ok to think dark thoughts. He originally rose to prominence as lead vocalist of the cutting-edge British heavy metal band Black Sabbath in the 1970’s, and went on to achieve a multi-platinum solo career spanning three decades which lead to the eventual and complete revolution of the heavy metal music genre. Poised and ready to offer their visitors the complete biker experience, the Buffalo Chip has rounded up an enormous selection of biker-centric fun and festivities in addition to their unrivaled music lineup which also includes ZZ Top, Kid Rock, Motley Crue, The Doobie Brothers and The Scorpions. This year’s experience also includes Michael Lichter’s 10th Annual Motorcycles as Art exhibit. Entitled “Eternal Combustion-30 in the Wind” the exhibit will focus on the explosion of interest and passion for custom motorcycles and will feature the works of 15 pairs of custom builders. To make your reservations for Sturgis Bike Week 2010 visit Buffalo Chip.

What a group of folks to go see. Damn near better than Woodstock.

Wow, that’s a great lineup!! I need to dig out some of my old Scorpion cassettes……maybe some old UFO too!

Now why can’t The Company pull out a line-up like that?? Although, the last time I saw Ozzy was 10 yrs ago and it was a sad thing to witness. He couldn’t remember the lyrics to Iron Man and shuffled around the stage with that “elephant that’s worked the circus too long” look to him. That said, nobody really gave a rat’s ass. We just screamed “OZZY!!!” even louder when he forgot where he was and had to be led back to the mic. …good times.

I think most of those guys are old enough to have played at Woodstock…

and don’t forget why he pours a bucket of water over himself on stage . because he pisses in his pants .

Well Ronnie Dio has died so that leaves the Scorpion a little shy of a full brick. And as for Ozzie… I sure hope he doesn’t foolow some previous preformers and fall of the stage!!!!!

Oh and by the way I really like ZZ Top except for the fact they have to layer and backround all their music …. There are only three guys…ever wonder where the rhythm guitar comes from it’s prerecorded and added on in the sound booth…kind of like Karoke.

    David,
Ronnie James Dio never played with the Scorpions, Klaus Meine has always been, and remains their lead singer.
Dio sang for Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and of course the band Dio.
As for ZZ Top, they have always recorded layered tracks like all bands do, which is why they sound different live… in fact most bands sounds a bit different when playing live.
And Ozzy just rules, I have seen him live and while he isn’t the man he used to be, he is still a lot of fun.
So you just stay home and play Connect 4 with your mom, this show will be after your curfew anyway.

Saw The Scorpions last night in New York. Rockin concert! They are breakin up after this tour. Well worth the ticket price. Brought me back to my youth as a rocker in the 80s. Rest of the bands on the lin up at the Chip will make for a good time. I’ll be there.

Where the hell is Justin Bieber for his remarkable performance at the Buffalo Chip???

  15. 15 David Jun 25th, 2010 at 12:33 am

Hey Dave Blevins…. I was mistaken on the Dio thing but as far as the rest of it goes”Bite Me” and by the way my mom died in 1983. So you stay home and enjoy your warm milk and bedtime stories.
Sure I know the difference between studio and live stuff but I dont think Cream which only had the three greatest players ever did any layering in the studio but ZZ always have….

  16. 16 Dave Blevins Jun 26th, 2010 at 9:34 am

If you mean Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and Jeff Beck, That was THE YARDBIRDS not Cream.

  17. 17 David Jun 26th, 2010 at 3:49 pm

No dumb ass I did not mean The Yardbirds….I meant Cream….I did not say Guitarist …..Maybe I should have said musicians….quit jerking off so much it’s affecting your intellect along with your memory and eyesight.

Geezers Unite~! No wonder the V-Twin market is in the shitter…we couldn’t attract a biker under 40 if we tried. I hope medics are waiting!

  19. 19 Jeff Nicklus Jun 28th, 2010 at 12:22 pm

    West Coast Diva,

The typical biker under 40: 1: rides a crotch rocket and/or 2: Has no money! In either case why waste the money to try and attract that crowd? Trust me, Rod knows exactly what he is doing with his entertainment line up!
