I told you 2 weeks ago that distressed brown leather was big again, for you, for your bike accessories and you riding your bike. But when I wrote my article about the new Harley-Davidson distressed brown leather seats and bags I didn’t think you would email me to ask me where to buy a cool Bomber Jacket to match the vintage or retro looking style of your bike. But you did…Although many places can be recommended, one Jacket I like a lot (different from mine…) is this one with a full zippered front & a covered flap. It has 3 inside pockets & knit waist and cuffs. Fully lined with a map lining and poly filled. In cow leather. Other models available. Right now on sale at $139.99. A pretty good deal, I think. Nice pice to wear on my knuckle.
I GOT A REAL ONE AND I RIDE MY PANHEAD
AND ALSO MY KAWASAKI Z1
Indian had their entire product line displayed outside of the convention center in at the HDMC Dealer Meeting in Denver last month. The one thing that stuck out each day as we walked by was the high quality brown leather seats and saddle bags on select models. We have several new boots in our fall 09 and spring 10 line that are offered in distressed brown as well.
I’ve seen “good distressed”, but mostly “bad distressed” leather from like “Sharper Image” years back. If leather is distressed poorly, it looks cheap, not like you really “wore it into distress-ion:, but like the distressed-look was an add-on, and that my friends is sad.
“Buying” distressed is like buying jeans with holes in them already! What?
Don’t know about you but I wear (& ride) my sh** until it really is distressed….no funny comments about ridin a 49 Pan you guys!!
Some of these have a “descent” look…..I have a real bomber that I love! Don’t wear much…my leather jacket – which is authentically disttressed is still my favorite.
