In a previous post called “But Where Is The Battery” I talked about the many ways you could hide a battery on a custom motorcycle. There is another way to solve the battery aesthetic issue. If you can’t hide it, show it in a very nice way. A good example, if you don’t fabricate yourself, are these billet aluminum boxes in 2 versions -smooth or with holes- with a solid or stainless mesh top cover. In it, you will fit batteries 3 5/16” x 6 7/8” or smaller, of course. They are sold in machine or polished finish and include all necessary hardware. You can install them anywhere you want in horizontal or vertical position (if you use a dry cell battery, but not all dry cell batteries) and will look extremely good on old school bikes. They were designed by Jeff “The Deal" Delisle at Delisle Custom Products. .

It would be nice if they were offered in steel to weld to the frame. These alu ones can only be bolted on.
