Last month I wrote a post about the art of David Uhl. In this article that you can read again by clicking HERE I stated that I was a collector of his paintings (in the limit of my financial means) because of his talent at expressing motorcycle nostalgia with a very creative use of lights and shadows. David just sent me this new painting to commemorate Daytona Bike Week. It’s called "Buried Treasure" and he qualifies it as "Rockellian Silly" (in reference to the paintings of Norman Rockwell). A lot of you reading this Blog are buried in the snow upnorth.and can’t wait to arrive in Daytona to participate to the 2007 edition of Bike Week. So, here a Florida palette to keep you warm till’ I see you under the sun. David Uhl Studios.

I am coming to un-bury the girl.
Dear Mr. Huze, I had no idea you were going to post this piece when I sent it, what a nice suprise. Being from Colorado Im still looking at 6 ft of snow in the back yard. I for one am quite anxious to arrive down in sunny Florida tomorrow. I guess my anticipation I shows in my painting. thanks again Cyril, see you down there.
As always David captures light like no other. Looking forward to seeing this in person. ~Sara
Super picture. I hope you can get out of the snow to get here for Bike Week. We do not know from day to day if we need a tank top, sweat shirt, jean jacket, leather jacket and chaps. Everyone has been sick with colds. One day the air conditioner is on and the next day the heat. Hope we have weather you will enjoy. That picture is just great. Great work.
