Myrtle Beach Spring Rally Controversy. After Myrtle Beach Harley Davidson moved the dates of their Cruisin’ the Coast Spring Rally from May 14-20 to May 18-28, the same weekend as Atlantic Beach Bike Fest, Horry County council members are threatening to revoke all May bike rally vendor permits. Currently, permits last seven days for the Spring Rally, May 14-20 and four days for Atlantic Beach’s Bike Fest, May 25-28. Opponents to rally extension say combining the two rallies will create traffic problems for residents and emergency responders and request that all permits to be revoked. Some are more moderate and ask for a reduction rally vendor permits to only 3 days. Myrtle Beach Council plans to vote on which avenue to take at its next meeting on February 23rd.
John Parham To Receive This Weekend Lifetime Achievement Award at Indianapolis Expo. J&P. Cycles founder John Parham will receive the Don J. Brown Lifetime Achievement Award Feb. 17 during the Top 100 Dealer Awards ceremony in Indianapolis. John, with wife, Jill, retired from the company last year, letting their son handle the day to day business, but remain active in the industry by devoting time and efforts to develop the National Motorcycle Museum. Congratulations John and Jill on major accomplishment’s in our industry and making the Museum a must go to destination and great accomplishment. Anyone that has not been there surely needs to make a trip to the Museum well worth it.

i noticed the same thing. he cried for 3 episodes over his dog, but did not shed a single tear for his mother on camera.

Myrtle Beach has lost my business forever! If I’m not welcome on my motorcycle, I’m not welcome with my family either. There is nothing MB can do at this point to get me back into their town. I wasn’t welcome the last time I was there so I won’t be back, ever. I hope the entire motorcycle community turns its back on them. What they really wanted from us was to stay home but send our money anyway! Find another event that generates the kind of revenue the bike events did.
