Sons Of Anarchy Season 4.

Last Tuesday was the first episode of fourth season of FX’s Sons Of Anarchy. I don’t have much time to watch TV Series, but the advantage of this serial TV drama is, contrary to many others, is that you can see any episode without watching the former ones and still understand the drama going on. Even if most watchers don’t know about the MC lifestyle I guess they can understand rival gangs, murders, rapes, police action, crazed ATF agents, fighting within the club, kidnapping, etc…

Clubs are for members only but if the series gets so much success is because the public at large has a fascination for action movies with good fist or gun fights, boys riding their choppers, outlaw justice or just intense dialogue. If you missed first episode of season four, it is enough to know that at the end of season three the entire motorcycle club from the fictional town of Charming, California went to jail, but now they’re out and back on the streets… Sons Of Anarchy. Every Tuesday evening on FX (check schedule on your TV Guide)

Cyril, you gotta get a Tivo. That’s the only way I get to watch anything.

  3. 3 Cyril Huze Sep 13th, 2011 at 10:40 am

Yep, but I still need to find the time to setup the TIVO, then the time to watch what was taped…

  4. 4 zyon Sep 13th, 2011 at 3:26 pm

Dunno, all the MC clubbers I know laugh as this “reality” crap…

it just gives us “Rolex Riders” 60 minutes of dreaming of what it would be like to have a Company that plays with illegal Weapons, Drinks anytime and Sucks and Fuxs gorgeous Girls all the times and rides HD’s anytime they want on the greatest Roads in the Country everyday! How cool would that be ?

  6. 6 fuji Sep 13th, 2011 at 5:10 pm

Fonz [Henry the Wink-ler ] had more action . Henry even “Jumped the Shark” AYYYYY !

Sons of Anarchy and motorcycles. Just makes me want to get out and dismantle a dog pound on a new Harley. LOL

  7. 7 PaulHart Sep 13th, 2011 at 6:00 pm

bigalyts – You just sold me on the show. Guess I’ll rent the DVDs and catch up to everyone else.

  8. 8 nicker Sep 13th, 2011 at 9:21 pm

    Hmmmmmmm….

    RE:
“…You just sold me on the show…”

And that would be what? “… understand rival gangs, murders, rapes, police action, crazed ATF agents, fighting within the club, kidnapping, etc…”

And that’s time “well spent” (?)

This show could be the reason ya see so many accountants and realtors riding around, flexing their muscles, with scowls on their faces.
(at least that’s a “show” you can catch while riding around)

    Holy Chromoly ! 🙂

We don’t Tivo & we don’t text & we’re dropped-out of society completely (except for the internet & stuff).

    Cyrill,

I’ve heard tell of places on the internet where you can watch shows for free. Strictly *cough* legit. Every one of them. That’s how we work around here.

“Sons of MALARCKY!!” This drivel plays into EVERY stereotype that we have been fighting to erace for YEARS!! The general publics perception that us bikers are drug-crazed, gun-toteing, dickheads is reinforced by this horsecrap for the sake of entertainment! Sure, WE know it’s sensationalized fiction, but there are alot of people who believe it is how we live. “Gee, I’ll just pull out in front of this dreg of society and DUST him ’cause the world will be better off without this slimeball!” And if those “Anarcky” chumps are SOOO badass by carryin’ AK-47’s on thier handlebars, killin’, rapin’, ‘an havin’ total disreguard for the laws of society and the safety of the citizenry, why are they afraid to ride without a HELMET? “OOOO, might get HURT if I go lidless.” You buncha PUNK MUTHA-F*CKAS!!! Not that I really have an opinion about the show, Yuk-Yuk!! “Lighten UP Francis!” Wiz

  13. 13 Drake Sep 14th, 2011 at 6:45 am

Watched the show for the 1st time. I think it’s terrible. What an image they give of bikers. In addition I think that all actors are very bad.

  14. 14 Henry Sep 14th, 2011 at 6:47 am

The worst show about bikers. For sure Harley will not run ads close to this POS TV show.

  15. 15 gman-nyc production Sep 14th, 2011 at 7:01 am

    One comment, it’s T.V.

Loosely based on Hamlet, directed by ex Sopranos writer – in T.V. land > its cast very well and written very well.

  16. 16 Rick Lossner Sep 14th, 2011 at 7:03 am

It’s a show… it’s fiction…. ( though no doubt an attempt was made to base it conceptually off the Hells Angels) .. enjoy it for what it is….most people I know that ride, love that show … and they don’t go ‘posing’ on their bikes after every episode… lmao

Anyone else think Terra is hot? 🙂

  17. 17 Roadside Marty Sep 14th, 2011 at 7:57 am

Hey Zyon it’s funny you say that because the 1% ers that I know watch the show and have a good laugh and enjoy it for what it is..TV and Wiz do you really still believe that whole general public perception of bikers in general is gonna change? I mean c’mon if after the last 10 years of American Chopper or Biker Build Off hasn’t done something to clean up the “image” of bikers that you seem to care so much about, what will? Personally I could care less what most people think about me or other people that ride because they are usually the ones who have their heads up their asses and insist on telling me how dangerous a motorcycle is and how they know or knew someone who got hurt or killed riding one well guess what I know people that have had the same happen in a car..I have no idea why I’m rambling on so I will shut up now! Roadside Marty P.S. I love the show!!

  18. 18 Larry R Sep 14th, 2011 at 8:06 am

I ride. I like it. Doesn’t make me feel like being a bad-ass! Just sayin’.

  19. 19 Rob Fisher Sep 14th, 2011 at 8:10 am

1 percenters don’t live and act this way. Bad show for wanna be bad boys and their broads.

  20. 20 Rob Campbell Sep 14th, 2011 at 8:30 am

My wife doesn’t like bikes (in spite of being married to me), but loves SOA. It’s the one time when we get to meet on motorcycle stuff.

We subscribe on iTunes as we killed our cable to save bucks. Then we watch on the weekend.

  21. 21 Calif Phil Sep 14th, 2011 at 8:38 am

I like it. I mostly watch because Gemma is hot.

  22. 22 Matt Sep 14th, 2011 at 9:00 am

If you don’t dig the show then that is fine. The thing that I don’t understand are riders that some how take the show as a personal insult. When The Sopranos hit it big there were some Italian groups up in arms about how they felt offended by it. Personally I don’t know how you can be offended by a fictional story featuring fictional characters but to each their own I guess.

  23. 23 Tom Keefer/Franklin Church Choppers Sep 14th, 2011 at 9:05 am

    Well said Roadside!

  24. 24 burnout Sep 14th, 2011 at 9:24 am

Yeah its a TV show and I am NOT hooked on it, but…………………. If I was Opie I would KILL everybody!! Seriously, I only started watching midway through last season. Now I watch and constantly holler ” That just don’t happen in real life!!!!!!!!” peace

  25. 25 P. Mansfield Sep 14th, 2011 at 9:36 am

Can’t watch more than 5 minutes. Plots are dumb. Actors are bad. Sorry!

  26. 26 Jerry Sep 14th, 2011 at 9:37 am

Would be curious to know the demographics of this tv show. Same than OCC?

  27. 27 CafeSportyTC Sep 14th, 2011 at 10:07 am

Its a TV show….does everything have to be realistic???

  28. 28 Rick Peyton Sep 14th, 2011 at 10:53 am

    Well put, Marty.

  29. 29 Big Sep 14th, 2011 at 10:55 am

Looks like The Wiz thinks everything on TV is an accurate portrayal of reality…maybe he’s not such a “wiz” after all!

  30. 30 Tom D Sep 14th, 2011 at 11:01 am

My Dad & Brother were both Firefighters, when the movie Backdraft came out all they did was bitch and complain about how fake it was. I happened to like the movie for what it was…cinematic entertainment!
SOA is a action/drama series not a reality series.
If you don’t like it….go back to watching Dancing with washed up stars!

  31. 31 kevin Sep 14th, 2011 at 11:07 am

Hmmmm…. as for “Sucks and Fuxs gorgeous Girls all the times” this is where the show leaves reality in the dust. From my observations over a number of years the 1%’s chicks in general leave a bit to be desired. LOL

  32. 32 Olive Oil Sep 14th, 2011 at 12:08 pm

Why can’t this series be rented on DVD??

  33. 33 Jeff Nicklus Sep 14th, 2011 at 12:11 pm

Who the Fuck is Roadside Marty?

Your comments is exactly why I love you my brother!

    See you in Panama ?

  35. 35 Brett Sep 14th, 2011 at 2:23 pm

Zyon, it isn’t reality TV…this isn’t like Biker Build Off or Monster garage…it’s a fictional TV drama. It’s the Soprano on Harleys. Or any ot the TV Cop shows you watch, but from the view point of the bad guys.

Wiz, settle down…the 1st thing, if people think because you ride a bike, you are in a MC, well then they believe you do all of this stuff without SOA being on TV.

Sorry, but I never got on my bike & worried about what stereo types some one had of me….more worrying my stereo types of the bikes I see with their bandanas all rolled wide like Jesse James playing badass for the hour they are riding & wonder if I am looking anything like that d***bag

  36. 36 Rob Sep 14th, 2011 at 3:15 pm

California Phil raises a good point.

  37. 37 Maddpuppy Sep 14th, 2011 at 6:50 pm

Nicker. thats funny ! I know a C.P.A., turned truck driver who then went on to prospect then earn his patch and become a 1%er.

  38. 38 PaulHart Sep 15th, 2011 at 5:03 am

And that would be what? “… understand rival gangs, murders, rapes, police action, crazed ATF agents, fighting within the club, kidnapping, etc…”

Hey Nicker – You just sold me on the show again. And don’t preach to me about public perception. I’ve been a truck driver for 19 years and IMO truck drivers have been compared to the movie Convoy and Smokey and the Bandit since the late 70’s. Whenever I meet someone new they say “Wow you don’t look like a truck driver”. You can’t control what Hollywood does in the name of entertainment. If you want to change public perception start by setting an example of how “you” are perceived to the public.

  41. 41 Wiz Sep 15th, 2011 at 8:25 am

Big, Did you catch the part about “Sensationalized Fiction”? Appartently you didn’t, and I’m concerned about others that didn’t pick up on that aspect either. Wiz

  42. 42 Jeff Nicklus Sep 15th, 2011 at 11:27 am

“Sons of Anarchy” and “Top Shot” come on in my area at the same time ….. personally I like “Top Shot” better ……………..

    Over & Out,

    Jeff

  43. 43 live2rideaglide Sep 15th, 2011 at 4:05 pm

It is not a reality show and it never claimed to be. WHEN YOU ADD TV CAMERAS , LIGHTS AND PRODUCERS TO YOUR LIVING ROOM , IT AINT REALITY. It is however, an extremely poor portrayl of bikers , even so-called 1%ers. Deal arms , drugs and kill people as open and as often as the tv versions do and you won’t be in business for long. It panders to the biker stereotype with a new low in vulgarity and lewdness that the most seasoned voyeurs of this type of tripe will not recognize. But what the hey! It ain’t like tv is hitting on much anyhow.

  44. 44 1550tc Sep 15th, 2011 at 10:55 pm

Its soso tv ………sapranos on harleys is a good way to put…..dealing in guns instead drugs makes the show PC for the masses….the dynas dressed up as gang banger FXRs are brutal looking and WTF no Road Glides for long hauls???

Its like the mickey mouse chapter of a bike club

Jeff, check out Breaking BAD, its the best show on TV hands down!!

  45. 45 Rainrider Sep 16th, 2011 at 6:58 am

I´m currently watching SOA and loving it. As a biker, knowing many 1%ers (incl. two brothers), I know this is not reality. But the bikes are ridden hard and that counts.
Oh, and the best show ever is the Wire. Indeed.

  46. 46 Geno Sep 16th, 2011 at 11:19 am

DL aka “Happy” should be in every show I think…
    hey marty

  47. 47 1550tc Sep 16th, 2011 at 1:56 pm

Rainrider your right to me its a toss up The wire or Breaking Bad?

Does life imitate art, or does art imitate life?

  50. 50 sollis Sep 16th, 2011 at 9:46 pm

Moovies like that is for Fags to watch, why? Well its like watching a porn but never have a sex

  51. 51 The Supreme Team Sep 19th, 2011 at 11:13 am

After reading the replies, I’m concerned about how many of you and your friends went out and joined the mob after watching the Sopranos. May want to check into the numbers of gullible folks watching vs. those people who are enjoying the show. I think it’s a great show, and gives me something to watch other than those goddamn paranormal shows and crap the wife has on every night!
On another note…it’s kinda funny how art imitates life. Was just in Vegas a couple weeks ago eating at the Lucille’s BBQ in Henderson when I walked up on about 40 Vagos having a birthday meal outside on the patio with family and friends.
Amazingly, none of them tried to sell me an illegal gun, didn’t offer me any drugs, didn’t rape the waitress, and hell…the prospects opened the door for my wife and I twice, and called me sir…go figure. By the time we got done eating and came outside, good old LVPD was there escorting those nice gentlemen out of the restaurant in a peaceful manner.
Enjoy the entertainment kids…that’s what it’s there for!
