@Fred X1 - full respect to you for building this bike. if it's exactly the way you want it, the bike is 100% perfect. maybe I posted with angry overtones instead of silly ones... (the crazy pills comment is from zoolander when a bitchy psycho fashion designer goes on a rant about a model). if so, it's probably because I've been obsessive lately about getting frame tubes shaped just right.

The chain guard is removed for shows, in my rush to finish the bike for the Carmel Quail Lodge event i left it on although it didn't really matter, I was competing against that magnificent Kestral. But I agree, it ruins the look. I took it off for a vintage show this weekend and won best american custom so there you go. But then the Kestral wasn't there. Anyway the guard is there for functionality, and because the Cyclone road bikes featured them.

@ aarwar... I couldn't afford nor have the skills to create an exact replica, I wish I did ... complete with 26" rims and a hand crafted motor, frame and forks that didn't look like chunks of concrete.

Rather it's a street legal, reasonably comfortable, ridable emulation using commonly available and relatively low cost components combined with a minimum of custom fabrication. Unlike OCC's creations, every single element of this motorcycle is real and functional and, while maybe not the exact proportions, absolutely in the spirit of the original.

One correction, slightly garbled in cyril's editing of my blather...the rear brake is a Hawg Halter Sprotor on a late model Sportster front hub. Front brakes are tiny Buell Blast rear rotors and GasGas trials bike single puck rear calipers worked by a mid 80's BMW cable operated/dual hydraulic master living under the tank.

Thanks to you who "got it"

full credit to the man for building his dream bike.

but seriously.... what's wrong with you people? (anguished scream) I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!!! paint it blue and there in no similarity between the two..

the cyclone frame has several unique shapes - none are on the PSI. rake is off 10-15 degrees, stance is wrong, one looks delicate, the other like a chunk of concrete... I'll just stop now, but I could keep going and going and going. even the OCC "brough" was more true to it's origins.
