Peter...great thought. The over-priced custom motorcycle industry has had a rude awaking and is now forced into correcting itself with its over-priced bikes that will not sell. However, Headbanger did build a nice bike here.

Softail standards are only available in the Australian & Japanese markets, but in our market, they make for a great blank canvas to base an enhanced HD build on.
Our custom arm (Evil-Twins & Kustoms)does just that, Enhanced (don't like using the word customizing cause it creates attention from the authority's) Brand New Harley Davidsons which are completely rideable and reliable.
Why re-invent the wheel, No One, But No One will ever spend the dollars that HD does on R&D, so why not build up from a proven platform......

Very interesting to see a European builder offering a set up like this, with all the options.
I went to the HD site to check the price of a Stock 2010 Softail, and was really surprised to see HD dont do one - cheapest softail is a Cross Bones at €16,000 (only others are Rocker C, Fat Boy (& Special) and Heritage.
I am obviously out of touch with the brand :-)
