motorcycles consist of the same parts. just make sure you check everything over before you go out rideing. you should also better maintain your gear for if you feel it is made more cheaply.. i own a jin lun motorcycle and it is perfectly fine, but than again i keep up with the oil changes, tightening of parts, etc. its that simple….. if something breaks than use your waranty to get new parts. if you do not have a waranty, than that is your fualt. get your parts from your dealer.. us americans just like to get up and go, but we should be more involved with are way of life….

I ride pit bikes and they have improved greatly over the last 5 years and as stated previously they have a ways to go. Honda has used products from the PROC for some time now and you know their quality standards.

From 1998 i was year after year at INTERMOT (international motorcycle show in Munchen and now in Koln) alternate with EICMA (italian motorcycle show in Milan). Since 2007, each one of this big events have a special hall called “China”, others where A1, A2, and so on. In this hall, you’ll find everything, I mean REALY EVERYTHING to make a scooter or motorcycle, even a badge with your own name: engines, frames, wheels, nuts and bolts, grease, battery (1 to 3$/piece, minimum order – 1 container!),
tools, helmets and even gasoline.
I saw manny components like H-D genuine but without H-D bar’n'shield logo.
I think in an article: “those people practice economical terrorism. They can hurt us immediately, in two ways: by producing everything or stop producyng for export.”
I want to show you a picture with a Chinese brand from 2008 Koln INTERMOT. How do I do that?

Brandon, Let me start by saying that I don’t want to attack you. But ALL military equipment that is issued is made in the USA. We don’t like for our technology to get out, not even what people would call “simple” for the fact that is a national security issue. That being said, there are several items service members MAY purchase that are not made in the US, but as I stated before these are not issued items.

the sad thing is our own US militarty wont even buy american products our clothes our weapons its all from the cheapest bidder. more than half of our clothing is foreign. thats whats messed up.

Jack you forgot to mention the other TWO things that you own that says Harley Davidson are a Fatboy and a Sportster. Cninese crap is hear to stay, Sadly. Their quality is about 10 Years at leats away from becoming Japanese quality!!!!

Well I wouldn’t be surprised if half of my HD Fatboy is chinese. Therefore HD sales being off has to really hurt the parts mfg in China.

The auto industry has to show what percentage is US and foreign. Any source for this on motorcycles?

Harley Dealerships: It seems that looking at parts, accessories, and clothing, that 98-99% is foreign. That is why I only own 3 things that say HD and 1 was a gift.
