Tom, this will be a 28 degree frame and yes, has a low mounted oil tank too. This bike will have the advantages of the FXR style bike but will have more of a Pro Street look and feel. Thanks for showing the chassis for me Cyril and yes, the first completed Maverick will be shown right here on Cyril’s Blog. Comfort, handling, high qwuality parts and affordability are the keys to this model for us. Not really looking to hit the X and Y generation, those rides do still seem to like the Bobbers and rigids, we build those too but I think the focus in our industry will once again be on reliable, high quality, functional bikes.

rigids are cool for the new kids that dont have a lot of cash to spend . and yes let them ride rigids like i have for 20 years and see if their back feels like mine . i have 4 bikes in my garage 3 are rigids and i always fins myself going to the right and warming up my bagger . i always know im going to get there and home with no problems .

It is a popular drag bike, anyways rigids suite my taste for looks the best. Hey like what you like but I think FXR’s are kinda ugly, but hey, its just my opinion

nothing cooler than pulling up to the bar with a chick on the fender!..but i have access to a few bikes…so im not stuck with it all the time..but i agree fxr was the best harley platform ever.

I agree with most of the sentiments above but would be willing to bet that nearly everyone “over” rigid bobbers is an older guy like me not a young gun. Rigid is still hot with the X and Y gen demographic.

“That the market has shifted away from cheap, low budget Bobber style bikes, always in rigid frames, and often built with lower quality parts” I never have understood why someone would buy the bikes he is talking about and I don’t understand why I see them in magazines as well. It is about time that someone actually brings a rideable bike to the market that is built with quality made in the USA parts. I am thinking I am going to call Mr Cree and talk some business. Other builders may want to take note as there are a lot of guys out here that are sick of cheaply built bikes that are being made out to be “cool” and what we are really looking for is what is being discussed in the blog above. Just my .02

FXR’s do rule- but I find the Kenny Boyce rubbermount superior to the HD version.

I ahve always believed the FXR was Harley’s best riding, best handling bike. Is that a low mounted oil tank in that photo? Another good idea. I’ll take mine with 28 deg. of rake.

Most excellent! Back to a functional bike chassis. Just keep it simple and never compromize quantity for quality.
