Did the Cafe Racer “build formula” ever get tiresome?
Not really.
Not with that many different OEMs and engine/frame permutations.
And ya had way more owner-built scooters.
Couple that with a DMV relatively indifferent to what they would issue a plate,
The chances of seeing a line of indistinguishable clones parked in front of your favored watering hole was slim.

Good Times in CA……….
