i’ve found that a pushrod tube spring and a brass plumbing washer do the trick nicely, really dont need the brass washer, but it adds a little low cost zing to the spot and keeps the grease from shnizzling out

A neat idea indeed. If you live in a jurisdiction where quiet pipes are required and this is regularly enforced, this little device solves the rattle problem. Drag pipes will get your bike impounded in our area for sure.

If you can hear a little rattle like that you should really rip off your mufflers and run drag pipes! Todays bikers are SISSYS!
