Congratulations to Leslie. On a sour note, the ONLY group that has been consistently rude to me since I first took up motorcycling has been the AMA. Cancelled my membership after the first two years. Most recently, was signing up for a ride in Vermont, when I got an email from -- you guessed it -- the AMA. It was an affidavit to be signed that my motorcycle complied with Vermont law. Naturally, the "law" wasn't appended. So, being a lawyer, I declined to sign the "affidavit" since I don't want to lose my ticket to practice over a false statement. And, naturally, not allowed to participate in the ride. I don't really care since I would never have signed up if I realized it was AMA ride in the first place, because of previous problems, but...to the extent the blog is for motorcyclists, and I love motorcycling and I have had nothing but good experience with fellow motorcyclists with the exception of the AMA, I thought I would comment.
