Im just wonderin where do i have to go besides the websites in order to physically look at one of these air cleaners in my own hand. They look great, One design looks like the “Krull” blade, and I like it.
Ya do a dealer search and then call them and theyre like what?? yeah we can order it, but we dont stock it “crap”..

I like what Roland does. He is creative (tries new stuff) and does what he likes. As far as copying, everyone has influences and most everything gets refined over time.
There is the first person who does something….and then the 1st one who gets it in a mag and the 1st person who gets it on TV or any kind of recognition. Sometimes it is by pure accident and sometimes it might be an outright copy…….who knows

It’s unfortunate to see that this thread went from an introduction of a PM product to a thread comprised of a few bitter individuals and everyone else lowering themselves to their level. Truth be told is that the majority of products from any company, whether it be raw materials or finished products now come from China or some other foreign market. The majority of HD’s parts come from China and though the MoCo claims that their motorcycles are assembled in the US, the majority of the imported parts are pre-assembled elsewhere. Though I am sure that everyone can argue on whether foreign parts are worse or better than American parts, I must say that my experience with PM has been a pleasant one and all of their parts (wherever they come from) have always been of excellent quality. Furthermore, their customer service is outstanding and the folks at PM have never failed to impress!

saw these at sturgis this year, I have to say they look like a toy like hot wheels that you inter change parts on!

just my opinion….

I will say that when I saw them I jumped at the idea but my “gasser” wheel was not available….
in other words these are a spontaneous buy

Well Jeff., I hate to burst your bubble, but I am speaking with authority! “I KNOW” for a fact that PM manufactures their products here in La Palma, CA. Why else would a company have 50+ CNC machines running a minimum of 2 shifts and more often than not…3 shifts. Their president, Mark Finnie is a firm believer in making products here in the good ‘ol USA…not overseas. Mark and Roland work closely together to ensure that all of his designs can be manufactured in a cost effective manner HERE! I will be happy to have you meet me here at PM and give you a personally guided tour with their president…just let me know when it will be convenient for you to meet. Just fyi…I’m an industry enthusiast…not an employee of PM.

Have seen this design idea being produced maybe 4 or 5 years ago from Two Bit Choppers. Thought several of TwoBit’s air cleaners were pretty clean and functional as well as PM’s.

How many of you guy’s work in the front office at PM? If you dont work in the front office of any Company, much less PM, How can you know any of the inner workings of that company, and for that matter, make statements on here as if you do know.

These kind of comments are unfounded. Until Roland or his dad makes a statement on where they make the parts, none of you know. Instead of making statments on something you dont know about, maybe do a little research by calling the factory and asking, or fly out to the factory and ask for a tour, dont just make something up and pretend you have all the facts on a certain subject.

I don’t know where Newtonian and Jeff are getting their info, but Performance Machine makes ALL of their forged billet products in La Palma, CA. PM has always been a leading innovator in this industry and have never had to “copy” anyone…They are always the one’s being copied. Perry sold PM to MAG several years back and their new management team is being lead by Mark Finnie, their president for the last year.

Jeff…I believe you put it perfect. After the MAG group buyout, you can bet your ass 75% of what PM was making in CA before is going overseas. Outsourcing + smoke & mirrors marketing= Bigger margins for MAG group.
RSD can put his name out there all he wants…it’s like Rinehart putting his name on a part he doesn’t even touch. There’s a team of designers behind RSD…it’s not just him sitting in a room with a PC and Solidworks. Now that team is funded by MAG group and the integrity of the company and product will never be the same.
Marketing goes a long way in keeping a company alive…

Newton is right, not many people know but PM has been doing some of their products overseas for months now. Of course they won’t admit it, but ask people in the industry and they’ll tell you. These air cleaners “may” be made in California, other products are not.
