Scott,

I couldnt have said it better. At this time in the custom world, everyone expects there to be NO similaritys at all from one builder to another, this is just impossible as you know. Those that feel that there is some kind of "copy cat" thing going on are the ones that dont, havnt, or cant build a bike. Sometimes I wish i were rich enough to give $20 to some of these assholes just to watch them bury themselves in a pile of parts they wouldnt know what to do with, and just see what they could come up with.

I like the bike, we used your new seat on our latest bike, the "Retro Racer", so I guess we copied you according to some.

Keep up the good work!

Hi Scott, Thanks for the plug on our Kiwi front end. I remember all the phone calls back and forth with you and the Kiwi about the front end and on this bike. I knew that you are a hard wiorking person, when I talked to you on the phone and when I met you a few years ago at a bike show somehwere. Scott's a hard working nice guy just like the Kiwi.
Congrats Scott. Awesome bike.

It's a Morris MM3, and a real nice unit.
In response to a few above, yes in a way it is intended to look used and old and have that "found look" I do paint regular I.E. airbrush but so do the majority of builders.

Ya can't blame a brotha for doing something non conventional and a bit out of the norm and again its mine so to be honest folks may hate it, I dig it and it is what it is. I do value all opinions and those of you who get it know what's up, and those who do not it's all good I still have love for ya.

And yes it may have elements of other builders reflections in it, some folks see biblical images in toast. To be honest as a fan of my peers styles ......shit happens. What I mean by that is the fact that at this point it is a market filled with folks that at one point will probably end up reproducing the style or likeness of another bike or builder in one way or another like it or not. In my Biker Build Off I thought I struck pure gold with my bicycle chain linkage on Ethyl. For me it was a first and we were proud of it, ten seconds later a dude was chewing my ass out on some blog for "ripping off" some dude that already had done the deal a year before. Instead of being a prick I called the guy, complimented him on his work and posted that very fact. And just this week I saw bicycle chain linkage on a new bike and the guy is claimed as innovative?? Well to him it is and thats great, my guess some kid in some bumfucked town probably pulled this off four years ago and no one ever saw it.

As far as style goes to be honest there is five months of engineering on the base roller itself so trust me there is a ton of work and not to mention 10k in investment casting molds to reproduce the seat and oil tank. It is not about the bike itself yet the "base".
Feel free to check out our website for soon to come info and many other great bikes that have paint.

I will be sending out press releases on the rollers and parts in the next few weeks.

I once watched a guy operating an electro magnet on a crane at a scrap metal yard. This bike looks like something that guy would have picked up out of the scrap with the magnet.

Remember Scott you said ----"One of these responsibilities is the act of freedom of speech, an act that is ever so crucial and necessary for a site like this to exist." This is just my opinion.

Best wishes.

Good stuff!

Thanks for all the comments both good and bad, this is America and it is so great to see the various opinions of my work. This bike is built on my new platform using 23" front and rear wheels machined in-house. The frame is also manufactured in-house and uses a Leroy Thompson/Brembo brake system. Some of the other great features are Leroy Thompson cast oil tank and seat all built as a bolt on to this basic frame. Love the Kiwi springer but you have the choice of a standard springer as well.

This is my personal bike and I included the elements I wanted for myself, keep in mind this can be set up any way you wish for a fun ride. Again it's great to see folks opinion of my art, some will like and some will hate but I can promise this is for sure a one of a kind.

Feel free to check out pics from the AMD show for another bike built on our new platform and you be the judge of that one and feel free to leave any remarks on it here.

We here at Leroy Thompson are proud of our made in the USA product and equally as proud of it on Cyril's blog. This is a great country we live, work in and love and with this we have the responsibility of being great Americans. One of these responsibilities is the act of freedom of speech, an act that is ever so crucial and necessary for a site like this to exist. It is with that I again thank you all for commenting on this and want you all to remember no matter what or how you view my work, just remember love it or hate it, it was built right here in Ohio, in the good ol USA! In MY opinion at the end of the day that's something to be proud of no matter what.

Thanks,
Scott
