jimbo: I just read your reply. Yes my reverse was screwed up too. It went out on my way to Sturgis and had to stop and get it fixed in Reno. My front brake also went out in Tahoe... got it fixed and went on to Sturgis with no probs. When I came back, HD could not find the problem either. Instead they changed out my reverse and now it works just fine. Warranty covered it, but it was a little bit of a bummer pushing it back when I had too, although it wasn't that hard. Same probs it looks like.

I just bought one and love it, except for electric reverse. It draws so much amperage that sometimes the engine quits running. have had a problem with squeeling brakes also. Harley has a problem admitting that my bike is not quite right. The reverse circit breaker trips if I try to do any incline backing up at all. Why don't they just put a mechanical reverse in and use the engine to back up????? (Baker has a kit!!) Harley must know that there is a problem with reverse, because I paid $1,295.00 as an option on a 2010, and now it's standard on all trikes and they are basically giving it away!!

I just bought one. I love it. I also own a Deluxe and a Ural and this one gives me comfort and speed I could never have enjoyed otherwise, without a lowering kit. I am 4'11" --@ 115lbs. and just would not be able to ride a 2 wheeled SG. So I very much enjoy this. Reverse gear: its not that hard to push it, if needed. I do, however, have the reverse... a little jolt when engaged. I don't feel like an old geezer on it, its too sporty of a feeling when I ride. The sound system and the convenience of the cruise control is another I would never have been able to enjoy either. Riding it to Sturgis this year. I think I am spoiled by the perks on this machine.
