The system does work really well and the guys that need it love it. It was designed for a guy who rode with his buddys and every time they rode, they would have to help him pick up the bike. That doesn't happen any more. Development continues and the system gets improved everyday. A Gold wing version is just being released. We kinda got swindled into designing this, but now we are making a bunch of guys and their riders happy that they can continue to ride!

Thanks for the comments

Wow, tough crowd!

Hell obviously it isn't for everyone, but damn, if it helps a few people stay on their bike (and if it does it safely, which that may still be a question not yet answered) for a few more years, I don't think we should bad mouth the thing. Lets just be happy people are still trying to come up with new stuff for the industry!

Pete,

As long as the design works as intended without failures, I really think you have hit a home-run here with your product for a limited market that really could use your assistance.

It seems like an ideal product for a small segment of the riding population that wants to stay on two wheels. Black bike, black pipes, and the system blends fairly well into the bike.

Try to tell someone who has ridden for 40 years or more that after the knee replacement, he has to get a trike or stop riding! It is for people with those types of stories that LegUp was developed. A riders' spouse won't get back on the bike because it was dropped at the light (hurting no one, or the bike) ... Now the spouse and the rider have new confidence! As far as cost is concerned, check out what a trike conversion costs... You may also want to take a look at the engineering and the on-board intelligence associated with the LegUp system and you will find out that the price is not out of line....

The device is manufactured for a specific small section of the riding public that still wants to lean into the corners but may have trouble with 800+ pounds coming to a stop. I don't need it, you may not either, but our days may yet come!!

I guess this type of thing has its place. I just can't help but feel that this may lure some people into a false sense of security and try to ride when perhaps they shouldn't.
I suppose time will tell.

Pretty cool and would probably help some folks out. At the start of the m/c's early days Militaire had the out rigger wheels come down when u came up to a stop. Almost 100 yrs later modern electronics takes it to a whole new level

3000.00 dollars?? and pay for the install? I think the cost will need to be in the $800-$1000.00 range to get people to bite. Great idea though, with the automatic setup.
