Sadly its you that is the idiot here. Out of the 349 KNOWN detainees at Gitmo 341 of them have had alleged Trials which have proven them to be charged with whatever the act may have been. The other 8 I dont have a clue about nor do I care, the news didnt say anything about them this morning. I say they have had their trial. Its time to take out the .223 and spend atleast 341 rounds and let Allah sort out the mess. They want to meet Allah so bad, lets let them meet him.

But then again I feel they should all be spent anyways. They are obviously there for a reason charged or not we wont just place them there because we are in a bad mood. Casualties of War, it happens everyday.

I am confused …. what did I say that was false? Osama wants to close Gitmo, he signed an order yesterday as his first official act as President stopping trials of the detainees at Gitmo and working to close the base in the next 14 months and he ordered the CIA camps around the world to stand down …. that is true and as I stated. Nothing misleading, nothing false.

Further, the lawsuits mean nothing nor will any of these idiots ever receive a dime. I say shoot all those MF’s and let Alah figure it out ….. then close Gitmo.

One more thing numb nuts … everyone there (at Gitmo) will or has received a military trial …. Just before we shoot them in their head!

The innocents (kept years without lawyers & proof of anything) will be sent back to their respective countries, the others will go to trials in the US. This was the first time in 35 years I voted for a Republican President. We all knew this country was in trouble financially, morally, and war weary. John McCain made a bold step in picking a running mate of unknown stature. It was a gamble, it failed. But, I believed in my heart that McCain, through all his life experiences, and sacrifices for our country, truely, would never turn his back on us.
He was up against a truly “messiah” invented opponent. It was unreal to see so many people looking up at the “hope” on the platform on 01/20/2009. I believe his speech was from the heart, and knows he has a huge responsibility on his back, because of the “messiah” press coverage. When I listened to McCains concession speech, I then really saw the man who should be President. I’ve been a democrat all my life, and I was never more embarrassed by our press or public opinion of how this man was treated while running.
Wether it was McCain or Barack, we will all be making sacrifices in our futures. Heck, I’m making them now! I wanted experience, a man who drove a different path in controversy with his party, and a man that knew the pains of war. I don’t know if Barack is that man.
Remember a few things for 2009. When you watch T.V. or go to bed at night. There are no bombs falling on you, there are no people breaking into your home and beheading you for Allah. Your starbucks cappucino attitudes would certainly be gone quickly if this was to come to pass. Your economy would surely be in shambles without security. George Bush was no fan of mine. But, he was truly concerned for our safety of this country, and he did that job magnificantly. No man can watch all of whats happening in this country. That you need to rely on others, who miserably failed him in coating their pockets with our moneyand greed. WE will fix this wether it was McCain or Barack.
I wish Barack the hope of this land, I hope no one fails him, and I hope to God he keeps our country safe. As JFK said, ” Forgive thy enemy, but never forget them.” Barack remember that quote, when you start dealing with a religion that has no place for Christians in their faiths.

although by watching the news it would seem like the new president won by a landslide. actually if i am not wrong 46% voted the other way, so you will have mixed feelings about your candidate not winning. most republicans are of the type of person that wishes to succeed in life without goverment intervention. ( like how america was built ) you may be able to understand the emotions brought out when a candidate says his policy is to share the wealth of people who earn more or willing to work harder. i also understand that the democrat voter base is generally the people who want goverment intervention and for some, financial support. there are good things about each party and without a two party system we would be in deep sh-t. president obama you will have to admit is a incredible motivational speaker and has great dreams. i will keep an open mind about our new chief and see how it goes. america definately needs great leadership right now.

Timothy Geithner, tries to assure lawmakers that he is fit for the post.

Geithner hit a snag after revelations that Geithner, currently the head of the Federal Reserve’s New York regional bank, failed to pay $34,000 in taxes several years ago when he worked for the International Monetary Fund.

Obama on Wednesday labeled the disclosures about Geithner an embarrassment but said it was an “innocent mistake” that should not bar Geithner from the Treasury job.

Obama accidentally let it slip to reporters that Fidel Castro paid a one billion dollar contribution to his campaign contingent on the new President getting the United States to abandon Guantanamo Bay within a year.
