I read all the above and evidently there is no bi-partisan discussion possible anymore. So, it's my job to close this comments section to re-direct everybody to custom motorcycles discussions.

Bobby,
Sadly its you that is the idiot here. Out of the 349 KNOWN detainees at Gitmo 341 of them have had alleged Trials which have proven them to be charged with whatever the act may have been. The other 8 I dont have a clue about nor do I care, the news didnt say anything about them this morning. I say they have had their trial. Its time to take out the .223 and spend atleast 341 rounds and let Allah sort out the mess. They want to meet Allah so bad, lets let them meet him.

But then again I feel they should all be spent anyways. They are obviously there for a reason charged or not we wont just place them there because we are in a bad mood. Casualties of War, it happens everyday.

Bobby,

One more thing ..... Dude unless you still live at home with your Mommy ... drop the "by" on the end of your name .... be a BOB or a Robert ..... not "Bobby".

Just a thought.

Over & Out,

Jeff

PS: I am finished with this subject now. I truly wish President Obama well and I hope he does a good job .... we need it!

Gerald,
You may want to watch what you say on here. If you want to bring my dads "weight" into this you need to remember how it would feel if I brought your wife or kids or even yourself into this. Keep those thoughts to yourself and dont attack him personally for no reason like that. But then again, unlike me, you wouldnt have the balls to say that in person just like any Democrat so owell. We dont give a shit about your children and their "future" they wont make it far if they act like you and for that I will pray for them. But sadly 99% of the time the children are a product of their environment, they dont have a chance.

Also, you bring racism and money into it?

Lets see, is a high income to you like 50k or 60k a year? lol. I bet you are an employee of some company and think their worth is way beyond what it is. Paying taxes to support the people who dont work and brag about thinking you pay more than Cade? Way to be immature YET AGAIN. You use my dads weight and your "money" as leverage because you cant furthur your argument with relevant facts?

Bobby,

I am confused .... what did I say that was false? Osama wants to close Gitmo, he signed an order yesterday as his first official act as President stopping trials of the detainees at Gitmo and working to close the base in the next 14 months and he ordered the CIA camps around the world to stand down .... that is true and as I stated. Nothing misleading, nothing false.

Further, the lawsuits mean nothing nor will any of these idiots ever receive a dime. I say shoot all those MF's and let Alah figure it out ..... then close Gitmo.

One more thing numb nuts … everyone there (at Gitmo) will or has received a military trial …. Just before we shoot them in their head!

Over & Out,

Jeff

Conrad. You are an idiot, like your father. Nobody knows if anyone was proven guilty in Guantanamo. How can you be proven guilty when there is not trial, no judgment, no lawyer?

Bobby,

Also, if you think Obama is too intellegent for my father to keep up you are way past wrong. Look at my fathers educational history. Its YOUR President who has embareassed us around the World. His "people" on live TV in front of the whole World speaking ebonics. Come on, thats embareassing. I understand Obama can speak very well in public but what you must understand is Congress in the end makes the decisions. The President doesnt have as much power as everyone thinks. Its people like you that dont understand that it wasnt Bush at fault, he was just a scapegoat for the Democrat run Congress. Yes Bush made some bad choices but if it werent for the Democrat run Congress we wouldnt be nearly as bad as we are now.

bobby, thanks for the good wordsabout being open minded. i think you are challenged in that way. please do you homework about who ruined this country. please finf out how b.clinton was the one who set in place policy to allow even risky home loans as to insure that all americans can own a home. look what that situation is now. some people keep bringing up katrina as a bush failure. please remember that the state effected was totally controlled by democrats who blunders and fought for power during that terrible time at the cost of lives. donr forget the hundreds of buses left in the parking lot by demos. hillary voted for the war because she and bill knew very well what sadam had. no question. liberals made sure that sadam had a decade to clean out his house.
we heard so much about halliburton. hell clinton used them extensively

as i am open minded i will move on and hope for the best. for close minded people. please do all your homework and realize that both partys have real dirty hands

To Jeff, Conrad, Greenwald, Cade, etc.

"Saad Muhammad Iqbal is a free man after serving more than six years at the U.S. military's detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba -- without any charge. Now, Iqbal is suing the U.S. government for unlawful detention. "I am angry in my heart," Iqbal said in a recent interview. "It's easy for the U.S. government to say, 'There are no charges found and he's free.' "But who will be responsible for seven years of my life?" His attorney in Washington, D.C., is suing the U.S. government, on behalf of Iqbal, through the federal court system. It is not the first lawsuit brought against the U.S. government by a former Guantanamo detainee. But it comes as President Barack Obama takes office, promising to shut down the detention facility, possibly within a year. That could lead to an increase in the number of lawsuits brought by former detainees who -- like Iqbal -- say they were held for no reason"

Congratulations, Bush/Cheney.

Mike. You are an open minded republican. Congrats. It doesn't matter the vote % anymore. What is important is that today 80% of Americans support Obama.

Jeff. You have difficulties to understand the news. What you state is false. Guantanamo will be closed (good), each prisoner case will be reviewed. The innocents (kept years without lawyers & proof of anything) will be sent back to their respective countries, the others will go to trials in the US. Stop making false statements like your candidates McCain/Palin during the campaign. The GOP is devastated, understanding nothing about today's world, economy and foreign policy. Like you, just a narrow minded Texan who still doesn't understand how Bush/Cheney destroyed our country and our reputation all around the world. Obama is too intelligent for your league.

This was the first time in 35 years I voted for a Republican President. We all knew this country was in trouble financially, morally, and war weary. John McCain made a bold step in picking a running mate of unknown stature. It was a gamble, it failed. But, I believed in my heart that McCain, through all his life experiences, and sacrifices for our country, truely, would never turn his back on us.
He was up against a truly "messiah" invented opponent. It was unreal to see so many people looking up at the "hope" on the platform on 01/20/2009. I believe his speech was from the heart, and knows he has a huge responsibility on his back, because of the "messiah" press coverage. When I listened to McCains concession speech, I then really saw the man who should be President. I've been a democrat all my life, and I was never more embarrassed by our press or public opinion of how this man was treated while running.
Wether it was McCain or Barack, we will all be making sacrifices in our futures. Heck, I'm making them now! I wanted experience, a man who drove a different path in controversy with his party, and a man that knew the pains of war. I don't know if Barack is that man.
Remember a few things for 2009. When you watch T.V. or go to bed at night. There are no bombs falling on you, there are no people breaking into your home and beheading you for Allah. Your starbucks cappucino attitudes would certainly be gone quickly if this was to come to pass. Your economy would surely be in shambles without security. George Bush was no fan of mine. But, he was truly concerned for our safety of this country, and he did that job magnificantly. No man can watch all of whats happening in this country. That you need to rely on others, who miserably failed him in coating their pockets with our moneyand greed. WE will fix this wether it was McCain or Barack.
I wish Barack the hope of this land, I hope no one fails him, and I hope to God he keeps our country safe. As JFK said, " Forgive thy enemy, but never forget them." Barack remember that quote, when you start dealing with a religion that has no place for Christians in their faiths.

although by watching the news it would seem like the new president won by a landslide. actually if i am not wrong 46% voted the other way, so you will have mixed feelings about your candidate not winning. most republicans are of the type of person that wishes to succeed in life without goverment intervention. ( like how america was built ) you may be able to understand the emotions brought out when a candidate says his policy is to share the wealth of people who earn more or willing to work harder. i also understand that the democrat voter base is generally the people who want goverment intervention and for some, financial support. there are good things about each party and without a two party system we would be in deep sh-t. president obama you will have to admit is a incredible motivational speaker and has great dreams. i will keep an open mind about our new chief and see how it goes. america definately needs great leadership right now.

thumbs up kiwi, glad to have you in the bike world and the us

I find it most interesting that Osama Obama’s first day on the job he finds the most pressing issue in America to be the closing of Gitmo, stopping the trials of terrorists and closing the CIA camps around the world. Man do I feel more secure today knowing that! What about the economy STUPID!

Mike Tomas. Congratulations brother and welcome.

Gerald .... I can lose weight but you can not over come your looks ... you will still will be ugly 4 or 8 years from now.

Cade. Timothy Geithner already paid his back taxes. Last poll: 80% support Obama. His name is Barack Hussein Obama, not Hussein Obama. You are a liar (what about your 1 billion dollars given by Castro to Obama?) and a racist. We have now the most intelligent & honest President ever. And of course, you can't stand it because you can't understand intelligence. And I add that I am white, high income and will probably pay more taxes. I don't care because it's for my country and my children future.

More Boos Than Balls
It will not be easy for President B. Hussein Obama. More than half the country voted for him, and yet our newspapers are brimming with snippy remarks at every little aspect of his inauguration. And Tmothy Geithner isn't reqired to pay taxes yet be in charge of the Treasury Dept. Gerald you have shit in your neck.

Patrick,

Our new President bright? YES, very much so and that is one reason he is President.
Honest? Are you out of your fucking mind???? He is a POLITICIAN; he is not honest for shit. Have you not seen on the News lately at all the people who voted for him that are already pissed off because he is started to back out of several things he "promised" for change?
I’m sorry but there is no such thing as an honest politician and you are plain arrogant if you think there is. Besides that, in 4 years I hope there has been a change for the better if so then I welcome another 4 for him. But remember its not the first 4 years we should worry about, he wants to be re-elected he wont mess up too bad. The second 4 years is what we will have to worry about, he doesn’t need to think about being re-elected.

Watch Again,

Stop posting all of this bullshit stuff about racism. Blacks are the most racist of all and have no right to be nor do we. They bitch about the "injustices" done to them as "African Americans" which makes no sense. Come on slavery has been over for what, almost 140 years? I’ve never seen or heard of an African American being beat or whipped or any such thing for that matter in my life. So, for that I am sorry that you think I am being racist or whoever else, I don’t see it. I see freedom of speech and the pussication of America.

Whatever happened to freedom of speech anyways? Does freedom of speech mean you can say WHATEVER YOU WANT? YES. Our Founding Fathers wrote that as top priority in our Constitution because that is was signifies us as Americans, the Freedom of Will. But now we have the bitch slapped American people out there on TV, in stores, magazines, etc saying we must follow their lead on life. So we can not speak freely anymore without having to worry about being called a Racist or Sexual harassment charges being slapped on us. I am sick and tired of people saying "I’m going to sue you" just because they don’t like the way you come across when they want to argue about words. I’m tired of kids not being able to be kids and play free in the street or front yard without their mom or dad being there in a lawn chair telling anyone that drives by to "slow the fuck down", even when they go the speed limit. I am tired of moms waiting at the bus stops to make sure the other kids don’t "play around with each other” and hurt her son.
I’m done with talking to you all about this mindless bullshit which has so negatively surrounded Americans. Racism is relevant in all cultures, White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, etc. I’m tired of being called “Racist” because I simply do not like Obama.

obama picks Timothy Geithner as the Treasury Secretary and the asshole hasn't paid his taxes...
This motherfucker shouldn't even be considered but Obama who is going to save the US says Geithner should be the Treasury Secretary.
Timothy Geithner, tries to assure lawmakers that he is fit for the post.

Geithner hit a snag after revelations that Geithner, currently the head of the Federal Reserve's New York regional bank, failed to pay $34,000 in taxes several years ago when he worked for the International Monetary Fund.

Obama on Wednesday labeled the disclosures about Geithner an embarrassment but said it was an "innocent mistake" that should not bar Geithner from the Treasury job.

Well at least a lot of you idoits beleive Obama is just what America needs. Your in good company tho. Today Fidel Castro approved of Obama being good for everyone.Wonder why ?

Obama accidentally let it slip to reporters that Fidel Castro paid a one billion dollar contribution to his campaign contingent on the new President getting the United States to abandon Guantanamo Bay within a year.
