i love the ride of my Rocker but not the passanger seat it to high and throughs the balance and ride off when you have a passanger. Passangers are a little uncomfortable bc of the height. and it looks strange. but w all the custonm parts like the HL kits the bike can look bad ass.

When did the Deuce ever spawn such debate? Plain Jane styling with no real bite. When was the last time a Deuce spun any heads from anyone other than Honda owners? i personally think the rockers factory styling is not only ugly but f;;;;; ugly, i ride a screamin eagle deuce luv it but cant dig on the seat/ fender setup on the rocker…. definitely not jealous

I BOUGHT THE ROCKER BECAUSE OF THE LOOKS, DIFFERENT STROKES FOR DIFFRENT FOLKS. ONLY HARLEY MADE TO LOOK CUSTOM. I INSTALLED THE HEARTLAND CONVERSION & LOWERED A LITTLE,AND IT LOOKS FANTASTIC TO ME.

Wow, can hardly believe what I am reading…. I am a 68 year old and probably have more time backing a Harley into a parking spot than most have flat out on the road. I own a bone stock 09 Rocker C, which is the 24th Harley I have owned since age 14. Last summer while riding an 08 Street Glide from Va. to Dallas, Texas I decided the bike was just too boring and traded it for the Rocker on my return. The Rocker puts fun back into riding. The seat is not as comfortable as most but there is no problemn making long trips on it. Bikers have been dealing with the rice riders and their BS for years and later the RUBS and now I have to hear people bitchin about a Harley someone else rides. When you fork up the money to buy a man his ride then u have the right to tell him what you think about his chioice. If you ride a Harley I have probably owned one like it.. Take it from an old timer, the Rocker is a damn nice bike and handles (if that is important to any of you) as well as any production bike Harley has ever made.

bought a rocker c and love it, you die hards need to accept the new design and relize that not everyone likes the same old rear fender that seems to be on every other harly. maybe you should just be happy they bought a harly and nat some imitation import!

Love my ‘09 Rocker. No chrome on this baby. Flat black finish, V&H black shroties, with custom blacked wheels. Have owned several HD’s and with this one, have never felt beter about the purchase. HD is all about attitude and this bike is full of it. Yes, the seat screams… change me… but who rides a “stock” bike. Great Job HD.

I love the Rocker. It makes other harleys look plain. The Rocker has the most rake,the lowest frame,the lowest seat and the FATEST REAR tire. Thats TASTE !! good work HD !!!!

O.K. This is my story….. I bought the first year Rocker. The Rocker C was not available so I bought the Rocker in Pacific pearl blue and everything alse was that battleship grey. I changed it all to chrome. 8 inch risers on drags,bigger chrome bucket, 2 into 1 Vance and Hines wide diamiter pipes, chromed the inner and outer primary,mirrors,bullet signals,tank guages in chrome,250mm rear Avon tire,polished the rims ….. bla bla bla, This bike turns heads and draws a crowd everywhere I go !!!! Whats next for my Rocker ?? This winter its getting the HEARTLAND KIT with the short fender and the same Harley paint coulor with electric blue ghost Flames !!! What dont I like about my bike ? The batlleship grey oil bucket and the gap between the fender and the seat. This winters makeover will fix that !!!! Squeeze a 250mm on your Rocker !

I am not worried about what people think about the Rocker C. I bought a 09 this past November, just after I retired from the army. I done 23 years in combat arms and the Rocker C is the best weapon I have ever found to combat old age. It gets me out of the house and turns heads all at the same time. I thought about getting the Road King, but I am not so old that I can not ride the Rocker and do some hard rides. There are some people out there who dont like the Rocker and those people have that right to feel that way. They many say it is ugley and talk crap about me and the bike I ride, but no matter what they say. It will not hurt me, because I carry the scars from war. The same war that I fought to insure that jerks freedom to say crap about the Rocker and the people who ride one. I just think it is UNAMERICAN to talk crap about any american made bike. A real American would just say what they like about their bike and what they think could be done to improve it.

The rocker or what ever they call it is the ugliest HD that the Moco has ever produced…you have to put aftermarket stuff on it to make it look decent. I have seen it up close and your friends are just being nice cause you spent thousands of dollars on something that looks like crap. they are staring at it because it is UGLY!!! not because it is “Full of Chrome”! what a dumbass! I own 5 Harleys and can afford 5 more…but would rather crap in a box and ride it then own a rocker. Would suck to be a rocker owner or a RUB like christiano.

Picked up my Rocker C about 2 months ago and I love it. Pictures don’t do it justice. Up close observers are always attracted to the lines as I was when I first saw it. I agree that the seat needs to be modified as I feel there is a bit too much daylight between the fender and the back of the stock seat. I also find the seat uncomfortable. I am considering the DG upgrade. Before I do, I was advised to hold off until the 2010 model and accessories release as Harley may have an alternative seat in the works. Other than that, I really like everything else about the bike.

Bought a 2009 Rocker C and I and everyone that has seen it loves it…. The seat though IS uncomfortable on long rides but HD and all other comanies always put an uncomfortable market seat on and I have had to upgrade on every bike I have owned…
Need one for this one but in all honesty the seat didnt bother me until after about 4 hours

I’d imagine those who find it ugly are the one still picking their pockets to try and afford one. Jealousy is an ugly thing buddy! But to your point, I guess the reason why EVERYONE who stares at my 08 Rocker C loaded with its custom crimson red paint, a V&H dual shots set of pipes, screaming eagle heavy breather air cleaner, and some bad ass Kuryakyn chrome everywhere, spend so much time staring at it and telling me it looks really awesome because they too find it ugly, right bud?

There’s a lot of poor information on this blog..

1st the Heartland rear fender mounts to the struts.. This still allows the swingarm to do it’s job.. The bike DOES NOT become a hardtail.. If you don’t lower the suspension the rear fender is about 4″ off the tire.. This gives the bike an “enduro” look as is just ugly.. With the Heartland kit comes a new bump stop that is short and allows more travel of the swingarm..

2nd.. If you think Corbin’s answer to an aftermarket seat is a good option then you’ve lost your mind.. That seat is plain butt ugly and the ride is crap.. I know, I rode one.. The best option for an aftermarket seat at this time is the Danny Gray..

I own a Rocker and I have the Heartland kit installed on it.. I rode the bike for about 6 months before I did the conversion.. In that time I never had or even heard one person say the stock Rocker was ugly.. Once you see it in person it does have nice lines and it flows..

That’s not a Rocker and that’s not a rocker seat. The fender is mounted to the frame. It’s not only possible, but nothing new. It is new for the Rocker and thank god someone made a kit to put that factory back end out of it’s misery. I would actually consider owning a Rocker now, but I wouldn’t even look at it until I got the heartland kit.

Oh, and that bike needs to be up at least a couple inches to do any real riding. A heartland kit just bolted on straight up looks about 3 inches taller. Still worlds better.

First of all this conversion is not possible unless they converted the rocker into a hardtail. The rear suspension requires at least 5″ of clearence between the fender and the seat. The addition of fender struts only confirms my belief that this is a BS conversion. Check out the clearence between the rear time and the fender. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Sorry fellas but its just not doable. Anyway with that said, I love my rocker. Add a Corbin seat for comfort, pipes and a race tuner and you good to go.

That helps the look of the “Rocker” 100%, I think the bike was a real ugly bike, and my first thought was to take off 50% of the stock parts and replace them!

The Bike above has been lowered. I know for a fact, it is on the floor at Los Angeles Harley-Davidson. Just like most Softails out there lowering the bike make it Look better and YES the fender is not on the swing arm,,, that you got Right.

Out of something not appealing to some/many it gives some companies the opportunity to turn it into something nicer. Lonnie at Heartland saw that opportunity and seized upon that opportunity, well done mate. And he’s not done with it yet. The rocker has yet to really ROCK!!!!

To each thier own, but I never liked the Rocker. These mods help the look a lot, but it’s lines still don’t flow worth a crap. I’m glad Harley is trying some new ideas but I can’t believe they ever let the Rocker, or the Duece make it past the drawing board… give me a regular old Softail any day!

looks better to me than the regular rocker. this is what harley should have put on there dealers floors back in what? 2001-2002. maybe then they would have been on the curve and not three or four turns behind. thank goodness for all the great original builder’s like Cyril and his friends that bring us trend setting and life changing motorcycles. I still prefer this bike over the stock rocker-except for the tank, never a fan of the duece tank—maybe put one of Cyril stretch tanks and see what it looks like.

i doubt the ride height of an actual bike would be as low as the pic above suggests. the fender isn’t on the swingarm.
