It’s probably true-to-life that the club members spend a lot more time on crime than on riding motorcycles, but that makes it much less entertaining to me.

I like the show a lot, but I’d like to see some women riding on the back of those bikes. I haven’t seen Gemma ride with Clay at all. Is this because the producers are afraid the actors will crash if they try to ride two-up? Perhaps stand-ins could do it. Whatever.

Watch the show every week. Cant beleive its almost the end of the season! Come on guys! Its a F…… TV show! Its entertaining to say the least! It is a bit cheesy, but who cares~

Katey’s character is awesome and VERY similar to several 1%er “old ladies” I know. The amount of criminal activity is way over the top though. The bikes are all identical, which isn’t like anything I’ve ever seen at a clubhouse. No baggers either? Tennis shoes when riding too? But…it’s TV!

They do look like some very successful bikers though, the shop is awesome really. Where are all the “hand arounds” and their customers?

Anyway, it’s fantasy, trying to give John Q Public an insight into the 1%er world and while it’s not very authentic, it’s got some truth in it too. MC’s are not all about crime and violence, sure they have some aspects of this involvement in some clubs but this show does label this MC as nothing but organized criminals which puts them right in the RICO crosshairs.

A shame really, just continues to augment the arguement about 1% MC’s all being criminals and I know that this isn’t true.

I find it unwatchable. Not to be too overly negative but I honestly think the show & storyline is extremely stupid & boring. I don’t claim to know what a “real” biker club is like, but I find the blond kid lead very annoying, like a wannabe bad boy. Everything on the show looks like such a cliche & so corny to me.

I think it’s better for TV to have a guy push a button to start his bike and ride off rather than give it two priming kicks at full choke, key off, then half throttle and half choke with ignition on and them kick his bike to start it. Besides, most guys in 1% clubs ride modern bikes even though some of them are into vintage stuff too. Many clubs today have a policy about clean colors including some top 1% clubs. It’s entertainment and not a documentary.

Spent some time in New Jersey… didn’t think much of the real “Wise Guys” at all.
And so didn’t care for the Sopranos…. not even as entertainment.

Only watched a last half of one episode “Sons” episode.
Gotta agree, it looked like the scooter version of the Sopranos.

I have watched this show since it started, it is very entertaining, the club “women” are extremely accurate, (been there done that) they know their place. It is television, however I have to agree with Rocket, they are all new Harley’s. The clubs I know don’t ride new, mostly old school. But again it’s only television and very entertaining… Watch it Cyril you’re open minded, you’ll enjoy it. And as your watching it, you will say to yourself, holy shit I know someone just like that!! watch and enjoy

If you can’t watch it home watch it here during the day when you’re in between blogs!! (like you have time) LOL

I enjoy watching it. I grew up in the “Lodi, Stockton” area where this is supposed to take place, so it bothers me about the “Redwood Original”, the redwoods are a ways away. But it is just TV ! In my opinion it is entertaining.

Other than the YouTube clip above, I’ve never watched it. Looks pretty cheesy to me, but I didn’t like the Sopranos either. I suppose it’s a good thing I work on bikes and don’t produce TV shows.

Been around clubs myself, been a patch holder at one time too. Most club members do ride newer bikes by the way. Most are on rubber mounted newer stuff for the long rides they have to endure. I won’t say it’s 100% accurate but it is TV after all. It’s fun and a distratcion. Personally I like seeing some bikers shown as not so nice guys, we’re not all lawyers and doctors out living our weekend warrior fantasies, not all are 1%ers either though.

Riding and spending time with cast & crew I find a great bunch of people & a show that bridges the dark side of motorcycle club culture to the mainstream audience.
As mentioned its TV and its entertainment.
The show splits lanes between the cutting edge of subject matter and censorship.
My dear friend Kevin Chapman was in two episodes before getting killed off (Cyril he is has posted support comments on your blog) and it great to see cast members involved in the motorcycle community beyond work as an actor.
Katey Sagal does an awesome job playing a badass hot bitch mama and my respect to Sutter, Parriott and Linson for producing the show which was recently picked up for a second season.

You definitely have to suspend your disbelief a bit, but I dig the show. I can even get past the fact that they’re all riding new Harleys. Even the ones they work on in their “shop” are new, which doesn’t do much for The Factory PR machine.

a 1 cycles has it right. It’s Sopranos for bikers. A lot of the slang is way off base and the writing has continuity issues, but it does entertain as long as you can not take it personally.

i love it but the riding scenes with no eyeglasses on drive me fukn nuts..its sopranos for bikers, and you just have to have fun and watch..its a good escape on a wednesday night

It’s a great TV show. But that’s all it is. I don’t try to think too much while watching it as the details are full of holes. As smugglers go, that club would have been busted a long time ago with the way they are bringing guns into the USA. As far as how the club women conduct themselves, it may be more accurate. Entertaining. Even the people I know who claim they don’t watch it, watch it.
