The XX Chromes -ALL Woman Bike Build is a legitimate comapny… my personal experiance is that my mom died of breast cancer – the subject hits home with me… all the bikes the XX Chromes have built havebeen donated or raffled off in the name of charity. Check out the website:

Well being the curious type – I did ask the NBCF and I did get an answer.
Interested parties should do the same – they are a seemingly responsive organization.

My Mom survived breast cancer (only to have some other crap kill her) and she donated mightily to the NBCF…and so my interests are a little deeper than they might have been otherwise…

Good to hear you have that Garage Girls thing going on sounds like a good thing.
If you don’t know what happened to the bike – I’m not sure how solid those girls are.
To be using Cancer and charities as a promotional angle is horrible and as for the Laura or who ever that woman is – Why does she send out press releases about herself if she just “gets a rise out of motorcycling”?
there’s plenty of other woman there who set records, hell went over 200mph and they sure don’t go out promoting themselves.

Sadly, I think Cancer Sam may be more informed.

Phil and Sam,
I can’t speak for the Chopper Chicks but I know the girls and they are all solid, I’m sure they can tell you exactly what became of the bike. I personally don’t know. As for Garage-girls it’s a website with lots of info about the passion of motorcycling and anything gear-head related, were just some girls that get excited about all of this stuff and want to share it with others. As for Bonneville I think your talking about Laura Klock, which she did set a record again this year. http://www.kustomcycles.com/news.php?newsid=167 Laura isn’t into promoting herself, she’s just a kid like the rest of us that gets a rise out of motorcycling, thats what garage-girls is about, enjoying the sport and sharing!

I was feeling this was just an publicity move.
If these gals are using it as a promo angle that’s plain sick.
Female or Male – if you promote a charity it better be a charity.

there was one gal really promoting herself using the bonneville angle when there wasn’t even a record in her class – so sure she was the world fastest whatever. I’m tired of fluff.
It twist my gut for anyone to use the cancer move as an attention getter.

You may want to ask the Chick Crew what ever happened to the chopper they built for Breast Cancer? It was never donated or auctioned. It has seemed to disappear. The National Breast Cancer Foundation has never received a dime or a bike. What happened to the all the donated parts and free services they received in the name of stopping “Cancer”. Did they sell the parts? They don’t call them Choppers, so you can get parts for free, then chop them up and sell donated parts.

The Chick Crew does not have the proper 501 or 503 certification to do this type of charity work….

BEWARE OF CANCER DONATION FRAUD! Even women will rip you off.

I think its time they make a video of the completed build from start to finish and sell it and donate some or all of proceeds for Breast Cancer research. I’d buy it. I see more and more women wrenching. That’ cool plus they’re nice to look at.
