There is no restoring the American Ironhorse name. The dealers have been royaly burned and they will not come back. Big Dog has stepped in and filled the dealer orders and they will dominate in the future in the mass production custom market.
I feel sorry for dealers who still have 20-40 AIH bikes on their sales floors. They will lose 15-25% on each unit. AIH bikes at spring bike week in Myrtle sold for significant discounts just to get them out.
The only way for AIH to survive is for Scott Meyers to purchase the company and get the stronger dealers together and offer them payments for their previous warranty payables and offer bikes to these dealers with personal recourse from Mr. Meyers guaranteeing that if the bikes do not sell within 6 monthe he will buy them back. He also needs to clean house in the upper management ranks because there is no trust there.
     Good luck.

Bill Rucker,
What will you do for the dealers and customers that bought AIH products?
Put it out here in black and white.
How will you run Rucker Performance and AIH?
Concerned in the industry.

I cannot wait until it is all over one way or another. I am tired of hearing about American Iron Horse. I do not care who runs it. the best bet would be to burn it to the ground and start over. They will never over come a bad reputation. I just feel for the end customers that got stuck with a product that no one will stand behind. Even if they came to my house and wiped my a$$, I would still have no confidence in their product, nor customer/warranty service. Sorry, but you are beating a dead Horse!

I can't imagine anyone wanting to take over Ironhorse but you can bet it will be part of the original "good ol' boys" club. I can see that people really don't care whether they stay in business or not, they just want bad parts replaced and the value of their bikes to stay up. Good luck on that one, I agree with Rodent, the consumer, once burned, will not come back. Indian motorcycles have been in and out and once, Sportsters were made by a bowling pin company but they did have a good reputation for a long time, not so with Ironhorse.

I know dealers, Vendors and many customers who have been majorly screwed by Bill _ucker.
He doesn't warrant his own product. Please do not allow him to reign as King at IronHorse!
He is mannerless and is all about power! Just do a background check with all his former dealers and customers who've purchased a bike in the last 2 years from him. If Scott Meyers will be a man and honor the warranties of AIH and take care of the poor dealers, then may the court do the right thing and let Scott have AIH!!!!!! The customer is at the mercy of whoever takes over. Let's hope class and honor come with whoever takes over! Not Bill Smucker!

I don't think that whoever buys American Iron Horse will be able to restore comsumer confidence. Once the finicky buyer loses confidence in any product it is usually finished. We can only hope for the best.
