It’s not just bad welds, the frames are poorly designed. The anti vibration tubes aren’t long enough and attach in the wrong place on the frame. Adding a gusset and re-welding the tubes won’t fix this issue. What they’re doing is trying to put a Band Aid on a more serious issue. Nothing about bad frames is a minor glitch, that’s someone’s life in the balance when you turn out inferior producys like frames. Harley may have lawsuits but I never remember them saying their frames needed to be re-designed and made safe. I’m not a fan of Harley either but I’d probably buy one of their bikes before I’d buy one from a company with poor designs and now with a serious recall notice.

I agree with what Doc R said, except for a “minor glitch”. It is not minor, whether the poor, structural weldments on the frame are fact or fiction, unfortunately.

Hey guys BBC build sensational choppers and now an industry first, a way cool bagger that makes most baggers look like your granpa’s bike. Sure they’ve had a minor glitch with a production run but it is hardly fair to slag the marque as a whole. Oh, unless you came out from under a rock yesterday, you should be smarter than to believe much of what you read on the web. Harley-Davidson themselves always have pending lawsuits against them for all sorts of reasons, justified or not. Hungry lawyers and people sensing a big payout make a sinister combination.
