It’s a big weekend for Orange County Choppers and for you, if you love the family trio. You are invited to join all the crew for the grand opening of their brand new World Headquarters in Newburgh, NY. Nothing personal against Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. but I thought that to have World Headquarters you needed first at least a couple of national headquarters in other countries. And I am not aware of any! Do you know? But I noticed that in their website they list 6 US dealers for the distribution of their new limited production bikes. So, I guess they are considering that each dealer in each US state is an OCC headquarter, and each state is considered a foreign country. And of course, Newburgh in NY is the center of the world. But I digress. The festivities started yesterday Thursday 24th and go all the way through till Sunday April 27th. The film crew for American Chopper will be filming throughout the weekend, so you may get a chance to have your mug shot seen on TV. Schedule of events is ribbon cutting, autographs, autographs, autographs, a local band, autographs, autographs, autographs, a local band, autographs, autographs, autographs, and so on during 4 days. Orange County Choppers.

I have been to a couplle of the OCC US “dealers” and they are not OCC stores or dealers. The one in Ft. Lauderdale, has very little OCC stuff in it and is actually a Bourget store that I guess sells a couple OCC bikes a year, maybe.
Anyway good luck to them, but I think their 15 minutes is about over. It is a shame they think they will be a world wide icon but I think the market has dictated that over priced choppers are out. Maybe after their show ends and companies quit using that as free publicity when they get a “theme bike” made, they can turn their 100,000 sf world head quarters into a manufacturing facility to make their tee shirts, sweat shirts, hats, sunglasses, party supplies, toys, stickers, etc.(Is anyone else sick of seeing our tax paying dollars being used to make motorcycles - Airforce, army, national guard, NASA, Police, Probably about a $1 million right there)
……………………..no, peace
Only 6 dealers? After all the media exposure they got? Seems to confirm that they are only a TV phenomenom, not a motorcycle industry success. Would bet that in 1 month the new Indian is going to sell more bikes than OCC in 2 years. They should not have ventured in the mass (very limited) production business. It’s not gonna work. Never.
World headquarters. Of course, they live in their own world. A zoo is more entertaining.
Yea Cyril, that is the way the tax man says to do it ! Where ever their HQ is, they incorporate there, and if they do bussiness in other states, They have to file with each state as a foreign country.
World headquarters. When ego is so inflated, it’s the beginning of the end.
Vinnie and Cody spent the weekend in Laughlin Nevada showing their V-Force Bike
Biker DATA wonders how many showed up to see Vinnie & Cody?
Hey Rodent did you sign up to win the V Force 1 Bike in Laughlin? That is the bike promotion that (I) BikerDATA.com created in concert with Vinnie & Cody of V-Force Customs. Thanks to Rob Hassay’s Pro Tour Truck, we are on tour with it to most all the rallies this year. Anyone who attends a rally gets an entry to win their Inaugural Bike V Force 1. We will be at the new Hard Rock Park next in Myrtle Beach displaying the bike in May.
BikerDATA.com just checked out OCC ( Orange County Choppers ) site and looked at the schedule for the weekend. I cannot believe they are only doing a couple One-hour appearance signings for the entire weekend. What a way to show your gratitude to the fans that support you financially by buying your apparel and then you only give them a one-hour window to get it autographed.
Cannot wait to see the reports of how many people turned out…
Vinnie and Cody seemed to enjoy Laughlin walking around enjoying the place, acting like human beings and no I didn’t register to win the bike….If I was broke down along the road I’d rather have Vinnie come along with a tool box than any of the clown princes
Since I believe If you can’t say something nice about someone you shouldn’t say anything at all.
SO No Comment
ROGUE, LMFAO
the link below sums up my personal opinion abouit the Clown Princes of our industry.

BTW ALL the profits go to childerens charities,I’ll even autograph it for FREE if you ask.,no waiting in line or paying an autograph fee…lol
It’s hard to believe these guys still have an audience…
“World HQ Launch” would be done justice with some demo rides, right?
Wait, do most of their fans have an endorsement? Scratch that.
What? They’re still out there? Remember the XFL? Sound familiar? I have better things to do than type anymor…………………
I’m glad they have done well for themselves. Anyone who starts a new venture always wishes for the kind of success that Paul has attained. A large number of builders were on TV but main stream America seemed to like these guys the best-The people have spoken!

“… If you can’t say something nice about someone …”
OK, you guys can take the “high road.”
Sorry, not for me…….. does one of em looks like he’s off his Meds….?
RE:

Dude, you don’t see a contradiction in terms here…….?
(eg…. 1% versus “main stream”)
Can’t say i’ve ever run into a Bikers who gave a shit what main stream America thinks.
(guess that just me)
GEE_ZUZ…..
-nicker-
I don’t think a large number of hardcore bikers will be showing up there to get autographs. Or buying their bikes. Their fans and customers seem to be mostly from main stream America.
Fausto
Just wait till the orange county choppers chops restaurant opens. discovery signed them for 16 eposides filming jr and sr cooking steaks. Cant knock em, they were in the right place at the right time.
so much hate. it’s a shame. i’m sure all of the hardcore guys here would have turned down the success of the OCC crew. it’s easier to put down guys who have succeeded and support a-holes and criminals.
they have built what people have paid them to build. kind of like all the 300 tire, ridiculous bikes, many on here have built. what fad have you moved on to? bobbers? evo motors dressed to look like vintage? crate motors built by a factory?
you’re not any better, really.
I thought you Americans applauded success. The Pauls have, if nothing else, gained huge success. Most of the TV’s with cable down here ( Australia ) are tuned in at 7:30 every Thursday night to see what new expression of American consumerism those lads spew out.
No longer a small shop like in the early days, these boys now have script writers, make up crew and financial advisors crawling out every crack.
We get it. Why dont you ? “Huge success is the best revenge”
Consider this. When they go, and they will soon enough, and they will go overnight, what will remain that elevates the chopper building fraternity to the level these boys have.
The Biker build off series, OCC and several others, all from the same production company I reckon, will only support the genre as long as it sells then, nothing.
But you will see a new series called “Americas Biggest Bankrupts” worse still you could be stuck with re-runs of British Biker Build Off. Fook May
Come on occ if it were,nt for the discovery channel nobody would even know who u we,re ..Good Luck Vinny and Cody!
Who are these guys anyway? And I thought Orange County was in Southern California.
I dont think anyone cares if they are successful and make money, it is the fact that they pose as “Custom Bike Builders” and they are not. Paul Sr. who started the company couldnt make anything out of metal and really Jr can’t either.
Everything he does is bolt on, case in point is an eposide when Jr. and Sr. are building the web bike and greenie and Jr. even call out his dad for building a bike with all bolt on parts. Hell they dont even get involved in the paint scheme, Nubby usually takes care of that.
It’s time for the guys to take their bike building to the next level with the new switching system, The GRIP ACE.
Moron Sr. & the 2 moron Jr’s will soon fade away, never to be missed.
JEE-ZUZ!
Please get a grip!

One more time……….
It’s not about success, money, sales, exposure or what OCC can or can’t build.
It’s about acting like moron’s on national TV.
The OCC immage reflects very badly on the rest of us.
There are many intelligent, talented people involved in designing and building scooters.
Just look around ya.
But ever since that show was first put on the air, when it comes up in conversation that you’re involved in designing and building bikes, 9 times out of 10 you’ll get this:
“oh ya, I know, like the three stooges on TV”
Do the customers that contract their work really give a shit about owning a bike or are they simply looking to leverage the TV time?
From my perspective, the damage has already been done.
In “mixed company” i’ll never mention bike building.
Think about this:
When you’re seen out on your scoot, with whom are you being associated?
Enough said.
-nicker-
That’s right Nicker, the line blurs between what is good for our business and what is good for our sport(lifestyle in my case). I love to get out and have a roaring good time but when I am working I am DEAD serious about my craft. I cringe when a customer wants to change a perfectly good part for something that only “Looks Pretty”. That’s just me I could be wrong! peace
I know these guy arent perfect and they will go down shortly they cant even hire employees let alone sell mass produced bikes in the worst economy in years. But are any of you living in a massive log cabin with acres of manacured ground with hot rods in mint condition in your garage and tons of bikes with mini ponies. So we can all be bitter but in the the end sr will walk away a millionare in what 7 or 8 years. Ive owned my own business for 14 and Im still grinding it out
Reply To JSPFC:
“Free Advertising to get a Theme bike made”
LOL… it’s obvious you have NO idea how much these companies pay to have an “on air” theme bike built.. ha-ha….
Take the Catepillar bike for example. Cat paid OCC/Discovery OVER 3 million dollars to have thier bike made “ON THE AIR”
There is NO free advertising going on..
The Teutels have nothing to worry about. They have so much money now that there is no danger of them not having the rest of thier lives lived in luxury….
lol… you folks are quite naive…
Like pro ice skating owes Tonya Harding….The cusom bike industry owes everything to OCC….
problem with americans is intelligence. going down , down, down. Jealousy, my my my, Well why the hell didnt you do it, if it was so damn easy. He started with a iron business. That’s a real mans work. He earned his shit. he also was a veteran i believe not sure. GET LOST, CRY BABIES. OH BYE THE WAY… WHERES YOUR BIKE, BICYCLE?
I have never heard such a bunch of jealous people in all my life!!! I too thought Americans supported people doing well. If you were from the UK, I would expect you to all be like this. And yes, I am from the UK so know exactly how British people knock each other for doing well!
Well said people like Natalee and Chopper Suey. I even agree with Stealth. I too have owned my own business now for just over 11 years and work my arse off everyday. If someone came to me and offered me their success I would snap their hand off, and so would everyone on here
How people can say they make crap is beyond me. And how you can say they just bolt on things is a joke. Yes they out source parts and use people like Nubs, but so what? I out source certain sectors in my company. You telling me because of that my business is a joke? I’d like to see you say that to my face, never mind OCC’s…
Geez people…chill out. So the Teutuls are amazingly successful posers…who cares. Sorry they crapped up your otherwise unblemished biker reputations. “Yeah.. but bolt on, man…BOLT ON!!!”
What friggin ever!!
Holy crap, you people are stupid.
When I heard OCC had a new World Headquarters, I wanted to send them a housewarming gift. I had a nice block of billet aluminum in the shape of a crank case and a matching set of measuring calipers and a micrometer, but then I realized they wouldn’t know what to do with them.
Well said Baldy!, couldn’t have said it better myself, i too am from England, (London), some of the comments on here are so jealous ridden it’s unreal, i couldn’t tell you the first thing about motorbikes, i’ve no interest in them at all, never have, but i love watching the show, i think it’s quality entertainment, yes there are inflated ego’s now but that’s natural, they’re celebrities & that’s going to change people regardless of their roots, if the American’s think the Teutul’s are bad they should come over here & see how our “so called celebrities” behave after appearing in as little as a washing powder advert!!, OCC is a break from the norm, real people doing something real & the end product is 9 times out 10 superb, as someone else already said they were in the right place at the right time!, the important thing is they took the opportunity given to them & have thus far made the most of it & people should give them alot of credit for that, i personally hope they keep the show running for a long time yet.
Miket rules by the way!
Well, I am an American and I think it is great they are doing well. They aren’t hurting others with their products and they make things people want. Whether it is what a true bike builder would scoff at or not is irrelevant. The masses give them money for shirts, toys, and hats, and that is where they are making their money.
There is so much worse crap on TV than a show where a piece of industrial art is made. Like most are, it is subjective, and not everyone likes it. TLC will cover their antics for as long as people watch then they will be on their own. They are smart in that they are leveraging their fame to try and build a long-term business. They may have a rude and goofy personality, but they aren’t stupid business people. Other guys had their shots to have a good show, but they for whatever reason didn’t make it.
Like others have said, many would jump at a chance for this kind of break for their business, including me. They have a niche making corporate bikes for big bucks on TV. More power to them. Work it while it lasts.
What ever happen to that girl OCC hired? I think her name was Liz. Anyone know?
