@ Speedhorn

Please bring on some facts!
The guys that won the show in 06 where Thunderbike also. So there is no Japanes guy that won the show. The guys from Hide bike in Japan won a Lock up clutch kit in 2006 that was sponsored from BDL! He recieved it 3 weeks after the show. And all other prices are delivered aswell!
Don´t know where you come from but if yu have ever been in at the CCE Show you would realize that this show case is the best in europe and give you a good overview of the EU bikebuilding scene.
I was there and as coming from the bike industry in europe I talk to a lot of people over here and haven´t met one that had a negative word about it.

Self appointed god of custom bike shows is right. These guys have just ridden on the back of companies like Custom Chrome and Dealer News, letting them foot the bill and then taking all the glory. It's a well known fact that they still owe prize money to most of the winning competitors. The Japanese guy who won in 06 had to chase like crazy and it took like a year or something for them to pay him. There are others who are still owed from 06 but have given up chasing. Then the same thing again with last year's winner who I hear still hasn't been paid. The whole thing stinks and I know many who are very unhappy with the whole event. Overblown, overhyped and doesn't deliver what it promises.

I walked by at first, but did not get in, in Sturgis. I was told that they were charging to get in. I did not check that, I was too busy visiting vendors.
I went inside the tent later on, as they were giving out awards. It was free of charge then.

They probably won't be doing it this way this year in Sturgis.

Rodent. Don't know how to read? The article is about the European AMD championship in Germany. Not Sturgis. In addition I was at the Sturgis Show, and on Saturday it was packed. Not very objective...

The self appointed god of custom bike shows had the smallest public attendance of any of the many bike shows in Sturgis last year dispite downtown location and massive advertising campaign.
