I just picked up a 2004 blast cheap and wanted to use it for a donor for a chopper style conversion anyone have any ideas?

thats a cool idea,ive looked at many pics an this is at the top of my list. I rececently done a project with my 03 stretch,lowered,raked,and converted to a chain drive to allow for a bigger,fater wheel.Also some custom fairings where made and added to give it a mid-evel,bigger look,as well as a race kit for a little more performance.

personal i’m glad someone took a blast to another level, yea it’s a beginner bike but nothings wrong with a sweet ride that can move around too, bikes are made to be pulled away from stock look and redesigned with an idea in someones head knowing what they want

what is wrong with buell blasts? it was one of my first bikes and i never had a problem with it, so why does it need to be twisted into that? my point being why take a perfectly good beginner bike and take all its functionality away?

i just found my next project

2000 for a buell
3000 for the kit

2000 for enging up grade kit

but would be better to tackle the this on my own, or have a shop do it,,,,,,,,a shop it is
now i need to find a turbo

What do you think it would cost all in to put a bike together similar to the one in the photo? I have the blast and I would buy the frame for 3K. The additional cost would be the labor to assemble, the paint, the seat, and a few additional minor pieces as noted. Could you give a ball park guess?

WOW looks slick , I recently bought a wrecked 2005 with 800 miles on it I was going to build a longer swing arm relocate the shock ( closer to pivot shaft ) to gain ground clearance and switch to a taller front wheel and D.O.T. legal dirt tires . but Damn that looks cool.. well decisions decisions … I’ll post a picture when I’m done . Any one intrested in a dual sport blast?

It’s not a crotch rocket. People think power is the deciding factor, but watch the Blast outmaneuver and outbrake their crotch rockets, and you can forgive the high-torque, low HP engine. It still outruns most cars on the straights.

The Blast is a mighty fine ’sport’ bike. It may not be the fastest in a straight line, but throw a couple corners into the mix and it hangs with the big-uns no problem. They do top out at ~95, which across the US is still above the speed limit
