RE:
"...seen several different attempts at similar vehicles over the past 30 years..."

Sure, but it certainly is a very cool variation on that theme.

Some thing to consider, though;
Now days, ya can't go to a dirt bike park and not see a whole bunch of ATVs.
Many of em are youngsters.

When that demographic is ready to buy street vehicles, the market for 3 and 4 wheel MCs could see a significant upswing.

IMHO any way.

I wonder if Harley Davidson is going to wait until they have seen sufficient sales of these 2-1trikes before they start building the one that they have patented under numerous patents. Iwas aware of their design a few years back and wondered why they have not taken the plunge. Maybe their idea will sit on the shelf like they let their NOVA project sit there.

Another possibility is that they foresee legislation that will get stricter on trikes as time goes on.

There is a company out of Canada is utilizing the liquid cooled, 1250cc V-Rod motor. The makers of the Cirbin V-13R (yeah, it's "Cirbin" and not "Corbin") say their vehicle was designed to be fun, stylish and performance-driven, with particular attention paid to driving position, steering geometry and centralized weight distribution. Another key factor: It had to be affordable to own.

André Morissette and David Neault are the Canadian co-founders of Cirbin. Morissette serves as president; Neault is VP. The pictures represent what the two have come up with after what they describe as several years of development and extensive market feedback.

Powered by Harley-Davidson's V-ROD engine mated to a five-speed sequential transmission, the V13R is listed in the 2008 Edition of the Kelley Blue Book and comes with a VIN and a Manufacturer Certificate of Origin, as well as a 12-month, 10,000-mile limited warranty.

Another offering in the field of trikes from Canada is T-Rex.
Developed in 1994 by the Campagna Corp. of Quebec, Canada, and available for nearly a decade, the T-Rex is outfitted with a 1400cc Kawasaki engine and six-speed close ration gearbox, can achieve zero to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, climb to a top speed of 130mph and carry lateral acceleration of 1.3 g.

I've seen several different attempts at similar vehicles over the past 30 years... this one looks to be the most attractive, and most technically advanced. I hope they do well.
