I totally agree with Michael Schacht, that Legend of the Motorcycle is incredible. It was worth the ride from Texas (where I live). I also want to say that Michael's Crocker concept bike that debuted last year BLEW ME AWAY. Everyone, and I mean everyone (even the Italian superbike guys) were astounded. The Crockers guys in Canada have serious vision but are also rooted strongly to history. Good on you Michael. Keep up the great work!

The Legend of the Motorcycle shows of 2006 and 2007, produced by Jared Zaug in Half Moon Bay were by far the best specialty motorcycle shows ever put on in North America. The diverse selection of ultra rare restored and unrestored vintage bikes, (Crocker’s, Henderson’s, Borough’s ect.) and custom bikes like Jesse James rotary aircraft engine bike, Burt Monroe’s Indian replica from “Worlds Fastest Indian and The Jet Bike (same as Leno’s) were but a few displayed on the lawn at the Ritz Carlton for up close inspections by a packed crowd.
There were hundreds of incredible bikes to see at both shows. The crowds of onlookers were also as diverse as the lineup of machines. The” well to do” in sport jackets chatting with “purist gear heads” in oily jeans. Definitely what motorcycling should be about.
Worth every dollar of the $50. required for entrance.

No, I do not work for Jared. This is a public service announcement!

Michael Schacht
Crocker Motorcycle Company

PS Thanks Cyril. Your blog has been a great source of info in our industry.
You are incorrect in you assumption that I won. I did not have a bike in the show. I did come to your blog to see if you had posted the winners like you did last year. I will apologies for taking a negative approach to my e-mail. Again your blog was the one place that I found the list of names for last year are did not find it this year. I am not a builder nor do I show bikes in shows.

Cyril,

I went to this show the first year they had it, it is a *great* show and it's in a beautiful location. There were many, many amazing bikes there. My camera dies before I was 1/3 of the way through the show, but I have some pictures on flicker here: http://www.flickr.com/gp/48876220@N00/2oeP3L

Hey, Watcher. You won some bling bling and want your name here. Right? I understand. but why no other site publish the winners? Send a picture of your bike to Cyril. Maybe he will publish it.

This show in california, I want to go to see all these antiques. $50? A little bit expensive.

Watcher. You are confused. I don't compete in the Rats Hole with my bikes since more than 10 years. Of course, my clients can compete with my bikes if they want. And if they win, why I would not say it? I was not present at the Rat's Hole Show because of other professional obligations. I even don't know if any bike I built was there. I don't know the winners. So, I can't report until I get info. I am not the organizer of the show. So, why do you think I am required to publish the winners list? Even the Rat's Hole website has never published the winners list of any of their shows. I will publish it, as a service, if and when it's transmitted to me. It's not yet. You can always make your request directly to http://www.ratshole.com. It is obvious that you want your name published in my Blog, and it will be if I get this list.

Cyril,

I find it a little obvious the lack of comment on the rat's hole show this year. Did any of the bikes you built place this year. You did a nice advertisment for your bikes when two of them placed in the bobber class last year. Because you did not have any comment on the show after it was over I put my comments here. Can we get a list of winners and maybe a few thoughts on them.
