RE:
"... we’re seeing in the market, which is a turn towards 'non-twin' ..."

You may be on target there.

Locally there's been some interest in British bobbers and recent questions like where to get the old style spool front hubs.

But that's a replay of the mid 60& later 60's style scooters, upright twins that were really no different in layout than the v-twins of that time.

You-all have an opportunity to take it back to the "Mod & Rocker" era where the scooters were basically cafe racers and all (except Norvins) were Brit-parallel twins.

There already seems to be some movement in that direction (cafe scooters).

The "Rocker Scene" seemed to come back (in Nor Cal anyway) just a few years back. Clothes and scooters were exact duplicates of the stuff that was going on in the late 50's early 60's.

It was way cool..! Bring it back....!

Nicker, to respond to your question, No the Fat conversion doesn't have the foot clutch conversion. And Hondo Cat, man your right on the mark with your statement about rideability....adam and i both believe if you can't ride'm comfortably... why build em!
We've anxious to get this think up and running as it will be a nice compliment to our Indian Bobber style bike as well, i think it reflects what we're seeing in the market, which is a turn towards "non-twin" bikes. Granted, V-twins will be a staple, but they will have to make some space out here now with the triumphs, BSA's, and others that are getting a 2nd look from builders....but hey, that's just my opinion....i'm sure cyril can weight in on this with his view point as well.

Absolutely love the idea of custom Triumphs, with one stipulation: must be rideable, i.e., not solely works of motorcycle art, which to me kind of defeats the purpose of two-wheeled transportation. Ok, rideable, in my book does not have to mean a bagger. Crotch rockets are rideable, but they're not comfortable, say over 150 miles in a stretch. In the past, Triumph seemed to have an aversion to appearance. Perhaps things are changing slightly. I like Guilty Customs' (Kiwi) Indian Bobber and these Triumphs are an exciting step towards the "less is more" concept. I'd like to see someone tackle a Moto Guzzi twin in a similar vein.

CJ
Great web sight & cool scoots.

Does the Fat conversion have a tank-shift/foot clutch option..?

Can't wait to see your Triumphs. I hope that's a trend that takes!

Cyril, Thanks for the post update. We are very excited about this build as it will incorporate some very simple design principles as well as cutting edge products that are rolling (or have been introduced recently) out to the general public Fortunately Adam and I have the same design/build philosophy which says "don't make it complicated". With Triumph taking a very keen interest in this project (thanks Kris Khrome, Deviant Designs and other industry players), we believe we've hit on something that will strike the publics interest and give Gatorz Glasses a unique ride for their company. We're well on our way to seeing this build become reality and we'll keep you updated as we progress. Talk soon.
