Hazy, very good anaysis and I agree. Harley will take over Lehman very soon. I am sure it is their strategy. An alliance first, then let's buy them on the cheap.

Kind of saw this coming. When Lehman joined with Harley the shops like us that had signed on as dealers for Lehman were left out in the cold. No real info from Lehman as to what will happen to us in the next few years although I suspect Harley will take Lehman over like they did Buell since the trike market is large and getting larger - lots of money to be made. Harley will let Lehman squirm until the price is right. Then all of us indies will really be out in the cold. The contract requirements from Lehman are geared more towards a full blown motorcycle dealer - read that Harley dealer - anyway.
Lehman trikes are, IMHO, the best out there (I own 2 and have riden many of the other brands) but they are also the most expensive and many potential buyers have been going to other makes. When the Lehman becomes a factory branded bike the buyers will see them as Harleys and price will not be as much of an issue. Harley has the capital and production abilities to lower manufacturing costs as well as the advertizing.
