We love you

The exodus of American companies can be put squarely in the lap of our government, both Republicans and Democrats in the name of NAFTA, GAP, along with both domestic and foreign lobbying groups, whose payrolls include some senators who have jumped ship to become lobbyists. These measures were supposed to keep Latin Americans in their own countries, to boost their economies and level out their economic classes. Yea…that worked. Corrupt Latin governments just became more corrupt and poor latin americans came north in the millions to try to improve their lives.

In my eye, American companies that go out of country to set up shop are no longer AMERICAN companies, no matter if their main office is in downtown Detroit or not. They chose to move out of country to lower their costs, they should have to pay the same tariffs as foreign companies. They are taking advantage and setting up their own little sweat shops in foreign lands where there is no governmental agency to overlook their business and if there is, its a simple payoff to a corrupt government stooge. The same holds true for any company that is outsourcing any part of their business to foreign companies.

Wanna hurt Hersheys. Don’t buy their products. Let them lower their costs. Won’t matter if they can’t sell their candy in the U.S. Wanna hurt Levis, buy Wranglers. If Wranglers moves out of country, buy another American product. Until we as Americans take our wallets in our own hands, the government and “American” companies will hold us hostage. American cars made in Mexico to lower the car companies labor costs, buy a Toyota made in Illinois. Usually better gas mileage and overall better products anyways.

When Walmart started up it was all about American products. The company that ONLY bought American made. Now go in and try to find an American product on their shelves. Americans are being sold out for corporate profits. The plain and simple of it all.
